I know it's tweet rumour, but Simon Clancy reports that: "Kenny was in France again at the weekend, watching Yann M'Vila. I'll frankly be amazed if he's not one of our summer signings."

One of the rags this morning (only caught the BBC Gossip column) reckons it was to watch their 'keeper Nicolas Douchez. He's out of contract in the summer.

Oddball, like Scott, only seem to post bits and pieces. Not thousands and thousands of players.

Now....Tommo is not gonna be happy.

But seriously, are RAWKites the only ones clamouring for Turan. HAven't seen much link to other big clubs.

Either one of Willian or Mata would be great tbf. Especially Mata. Turan for 11 million pounds is a steal too.
Suarez               Mata
            Carroll

That would be an awesome front three. Mata is more of a wing forward than a traditional winger but his crossing is very good, he has a load of assists and he scores goals.

There's nothing to stop them looking at both if he's out there.

Rennes, I think, have the best defensive record in Ligue 1 this season.

I agree with you in that respect, but he is still great at stretching the pitch, because his starting position is on the touchline, he just tends to come in the way rather than outside his marker. Still, he's a winger in the purest sense of the word.

would be great if he could just stay on the left touchline and cross the ball.
Would sacrifice Fordy in a sacred Mayan ritual to have him as the next Liverpool manager

I think it's mostly down to the "come-and-get-me" plea he issued specifically to Liverpool a few windows back.  Not saying he's not a good player, mind, but his value to RAWKites sort of inflated after that.

Given all the reports re PT saying Enrique was coming in the summer I wonder if we will be buying a second left back?
Watched Enrique playing yesterday & he looked impressive Downing & Young(when they switched) got little change out of him

He's easily been one of the top 3 LBs in the premier league this season. Although, saying that, I can't remember a premier league being so poor.

Oh, and how reliable is that Jen Chang on twitter? Because he's saying that Hazard, M'vila and other players have much better options they'd rather go to than Liverpool. Saying that only if NONE of the other teams bid, we will have a CHANCE.

He's just a journo.

Wouldn't say that as editor of Sports Illustrated over in the US he's privvy to much insider information. And to be honest all he's saying is we'd find it hard to sign these in demand top class talents given that other clubs can offer a bit more, namely european football. So not much we didnt know really.

he's injured and thus hasn't been available for medical

i think he got a bit snippy when asked about it a while ago - apparently doing laps around clairefontaine for the past month

i think his being at a game and then a few months later being heavily linked suggest that there's no smoke without fire

i think suspect we do have a pre-contract subject to medical there

Enrique wont cost £15 million. It might get leaked as £15 million, but like the Andy Carroll deal, a bigger price will be put out to appease the toon faithful.

It should be fun watching Ashley try to pull the wool over the Newcastle fans, as they've stated they will spend the Carroll money on players in the summer.

Undisclosed fee's and lies to follow from that camp.

i don't think the theory that the barcodes will put out an inflated price for enrique really washes

the fans are already expected ashley to spend 35million this summer from the carroll deal

if the barcodes were to inflate rumours of enrique's fee to us as 15million then the fans would be expecting a spend of 50million or there would be dissent in the ranks

and a stadium of unhappy geordies is not a happy sight

this, although i wouldnt throw 15 million away. baines is the preferable option but cant see that happening. enrique would be a solid, if unspectacular buy, would go into double million figures for him though.

We won't be spending £15m on him though.

Its much more likely to be £8-9m. So the question is would you rather the extra £5-6m go towards getting Baines instead or towards a winger? Is Baines worth £6m more than Enrique?
