Seeing the team play football, look up for it, talking to each other, and only being beaten by the ref, we are going to give someone an absolute thumping this season.

A reminder to anyone who thought that it was just the manager that is the problem, it isn't, we're just not good enough. And it's sad to say that one of the finest players I've ever seen in a red shirt no longer looks remotely interested in playing for us.

Outplayed them. Everyone did their bit. Total improvement on and off the ball.

Unfortunately nothing can stop Man Utd from playing 12 men at home and Mr Webb performed as brilliantly as ever.

Sour taste in my mouth over the 'decisions' but I'm not bothered about losing because I saw Liverpool Football Club playing out on that field today.

Lucas ran his socks off and could see him struggling physically during the final phases of the game. So was our Duracell Bunny.

Bar Torres we showed some real heart today and a positive performance. Just a shame we gave Webb the opportunity to stamp his mark once more.

We showed plenty of fight and spirit especially when we went down to 10 men.

They could only score from a dodgy set piece so defensively it was job done.

We need Torres back asap and a couple of younger more creative wide men will help him rediscover his goal scoring.

There was more good about us today (away from home) than at anytime under Hodgson.

Onwards and Upwards with Kenny.

Gutted about the result.
But, they got a dodgy pen, and the couldnt score against us in open play with only 10 men at OT! Id be worried if I was a Man U fan.
Martin Kelly was outstanding, as was Reina.
A lot of positives to take from today.

Kenny putting Jonjo Shelvey on is just one of the positives we can take. He must feel ten feet tall that Kenny had faith in him. Shows the mindset of our new returned boss. Kelly was fantastic too.

Kenny knows these players because he's been watching them since he's been working with us the last two years.

We're on the up lads.

Many of us on this forum have been saying for months now...it's not so much the losing that is doing our heads in, but the fashion in which we're losing. No fight. No passion. No attack minded tactics.

Can't say that about the loss today. In a weird sort of way, this is the most at peace I've been with a loss in a long, long time.

Well done lads - we've got a long way to go, but at least we got our dignity back - long live the King!

I know it's early, but it feels like we've turned a corner - never felt that about Hodgson.

I feel quite content that we're on the right path.

That win was less down to United and more down to Webb IMHO.

It's was refreshing to see all those players who are allegedly not good enough put a real shift in the 2nd 1/2.

We lost, but for the first time this season played with pride.

After 3 years of G+H raping the club and 6 months of Hodgson's belittling everything about the team and club, all it took to give the players a bit of heart was one ex-player who hadn't managed at the top flight for 20 years.

Proud of the team embarrassed for the English Ref's.

Only positive for me was Kelly. He looked the dog's.Reina is Reina, I expect more from him then any of our players and he never fails to deliver. Some dodgy kicks but we'll forgive him that

We passed the vball a bit more but we still pissed away possession just as we have done all season. Kuyt morphed into the player that used to split this forum right down the middle

We weren't outplayed but at the end of the day there is nothing we can do about the ref gifting them the game.

It was nice to see us playing some proper football for once, playing it from the back rather than hoofing up the pitch. Martin Kelly looked good, I've got a lot more confidence in his defensive abilities than I do with Glen.

Stevey's challenge was reckless, another ref it may have just been a yellow and that then ruined what was set to be a good game with us pushing high up the pitch.

After today, Kenny could see where we need strengthening.
Put a bid in to Man Utd for Howard Webb. He was their best player by miles today.

Usually I am sick as a dog after a defeat at Old Trafford, but has to be said, I feel proud as punch after that. I still cant believe Kenny is in charge, its like a dream that I keep expecting to wake up from.

Kelly MOTM for me, get Johnson into right-mid and let Kelly make RB is own.

Kelly was MOM. A better defensive display considering we played majority of the game with 10 men. If Johnson is back midweek he should play RW instead of Kuyt.

Meireles was our worst player today for me, his final ball needs to be worked on big time and i feel lucas should release a little earlier, but he looked knackered. Proud of the lads today, torres didnt look great but for the first 40 minutes he didnt look bad but going down to 10 men meant he had work a little harder and looked knackered.

Dirk needs to work on his passing aswell and he looked spent too. Babel did something and showed intent which was incouraging.

Kelly the lad was magnificant and shelvey worked his bollocks.

I tell you what even though we lost we played looked like a team and i have no fears for the future as i did with hodgson in charge.

Some great pass and move at times and i can't wait for us to play the mancs at anfield and beat them becuase they are really shite to be honest i dont buy this they are only in 2nd gear crap.

Thought we played a lot better, and with a decent ref, we might have been able to do them. Can see a lot of positives thought Kelly was brilliant throughout and Reina's series of saves in the second half were top-draw. If we play like this away at Blackpool, we should get something out of the game (hopefully we won't have Webb as ref/12th man for the home team

).

Feel a lot more hopefully that we will be able to move up the table under Kenny's management.

Oh and Our travelling fans done us proud as always.

Would agree. Kelly is solid / mature enough to hold down the role full time. GJ likes to get forward & has a decent cross on him but his pace would also add another dimension to our midfield.

Good all round performance in the circumstances. Playing with passion and pride again, and look to have become a unit again. Promising outlook. Webb is a c*nt, but who didn't know that?
