Defo. On a Thursday I love Alma, live band, usually funky Latin jazz with sax, trumpets etc. sexy, sultry and the Rum is boss as fuck, and when you leave you have The Peacock, Heebies and Revo all within 20 paces.

Sounds good lads, thanks for the insight. Been to Rougher joints by the sounds of it so might chance concert square at some stage for craic.

That alma sounds alright. Especially if everything is close. Beer and women, as long as them two ingredients are involved were away with it!

I don't avoid concert square becuase of trouble, I avoid it becuase it's absolutely shite. I'm 28 and I don't know a single person who goes out there.

Yeah, what was recommended above, Seel Street is sound. A bit further up, on Hardman Street you've got some good pubs and Hannah's Bar as well which is decent. If you just wander around Seel Street/Slater Street/Parr Street it's an area of roads with plenty of bars to have a look round and see which ones you like.

I must be in the minority who has never seen anything kick off in concert square or been in any sort of altercation with someone. I do go quite often as well. But I agree the surrounding areas close to it are much better imo.

Nothing wrong with Conny square as long as you are not an idiot.

Never had any trouble in the 7 years I've gone there.

It's no musical mecca but it's full of easy slags and cheap drinks. No brainer.

I have a problem with fashion anyway, or more of a problem with people who know fashion. Just dress what you feel comfortable in and what you feel good in.

Fashion at times can = hordes of sheep who dress and/or act like c*nts, personally.

I'm about to move back to prescot after living in Carlisle for 2 years. Been out a few times when I've been back but not much, will be going out a lot more in the new year.

Where's decent these days? Used to enjoy a bit of Heebies when it was decent, too crowded and full of kids these days. I'm not exactly old at 24, but it's full of 18 year olds everytime I've been in on a saturday. Didn't mind Aloha's and I've always enjoyed teh shipping forcast. anything new cropped up recently that's worth a look in?

Gonna try Salt Dog Slim's as a quite a lot of people have recommended that one. What's the bumper like these days?

dont want to turn this into a fashion thread but i love my converse.I dont wear them on a proper night on town, ie if i was just in pubs i would. They are boss. The women like them too and they look smart.
Anyways on a weekend drinking session this coming weekend...should be mental sure will try a few new bars etc...My question is where is there to go clubbing nowadays that isnt full of kids? Im 36 like so would like somewhere to go with people in their 30-s who still like to party...

Shoes (various styles) with a shirt and i have these quality black rock climbing type shoes/trainers or boots with a polo/Tshirt. At a weekend though always a shirt and shoes.

Each to his own and all that though.

Carlisle isn't too bad once you know where to go. Before that though it's rough.
I know it's no town but it's been good. Defo rougher than Concert Sq, farmers who just love a fight.
