they tried to stop me going into the baa bar on victoria street the other week cos i had a hugo boss polo on, "no hugo boss", just fucking laughed and went in.

really? no hugo boss?

virtually everywhere doesnt allow hugo boss polo's now.

To be fair its either young scallies in hugo boss polos or 40 year old grafters still thinking they can blast young bird if they stand at the bar giving it the big one with a bottle of moet.

i actually feel ashamed for the 40+ hugo boss crew. They make me cringe.

are you messing? get the joke like but, really stopping someone for going into a bar because he has a polo top on, when you get people in their dressed like arseholes who have had to jump off their wardrobes to get into their jeans.

not Like hugo boss is scruffy clothes really is it? actually quite smart , if you get the right bits. Go shop in H&M  and topshop though, and you'll fly into any bar. City has gone student mad.

Anyway, didnt stop me getting in, not having no pube of a doorman telling me i cant get in because i had a £90 top on. Weapons.

The other week me and my mate got knocked back from Bar Bodega (I think) for having polo tops on and we're students. They weren't even Hugo Boss either! Just don't understand how wearing a polo is more threatening than wearing a shirt. Fair enough if the venue was upper class and selling bottles of Cava but this was an underground bar aimed at students. Bizarre.

i only really ever wear polos / jeans / converse or vans.

Virtually everywhere is fine with that, apart from places like kingdom / newz etc sometimes give it the shirts and shoes only tonight lads.

i think its whent there are too many lads in the place and they just use it as an easy excuse for the knock back.

Or they just dont like the look of you !

i'm 33 and wear Hugo boss a lot, so what category does that put me in? out of interest , what should a 40 plus person wear?

Reiss clothing is more suited to a 40 year old man than Hugo Boss.

The Hugo Boss gear sold in liverpool is dire. 40 year old men dressing in hugo boss polos, armani jeans and hugo boss / prada trainee shoes are need to sort their life out.

The everton away firm seem to dress in all hugo boss for games. Its a pure cringe fest.

agreed on the prada trainees like. but i'd rather have a plain black polo hugo boss top on than the same from reiss, nothing wrong with trying to look smart on a night out. i get a lot of my stuff from azara , but since im not 40 yet , i guess i dont look like a grafter.

dont get me wrong mate, i know exactly what your talking about. But simply to stop someone going into a bar in town for wearing it, is basically a joke.

Is this the same firm that had bizzies going with them and they were not undercover?

What is the conspiracy ? I thought it was just fighting at the derby wasnt it ?

Men over the age of 16 who go to football matches to fight are complete wankers. I can half understand it if they are kids .

Stop going on about your designer clobber, its making me paranoid and insecure (my clothes are made by F&F)   ;D

Anyway, boozers - had a few in the top end of town the other night, Peter Kavanagh's - still a brilliant gaff to have a good drink, though a bit disappointed to see how much the Blackburne Arms has gone down hill. Used to be a good pub.

A crawl of about five would be fine...

You can do Dale Street end of town which will cover Ship, Excelsior, vernon, Rigbys / Lady of Mann and Lion. Also close by you hav Victoria Cross and Richmond and Carnavon Castle.

Or Hope St end, you could probably do Peter Kavanaghs, Blackburne Arms (beer is up and down), Belvedere, Ye Cracke, Little Grapes and Dispensary.

And i've probably missed  out a few.

Considering doing this Dale Street crawl tonight.  I love the Ship, but the only other one I've been in is the Lady of Mann, (boss beer garden for a warm day).

Does anyone have any idea what time the Sandown will start filling up on Sat before the match. Taking a couple of youngsters and really need a table for them to sit.

Can anyone suggest a good boozer in town for the derby, it needs a decent screen and to be fairly quiet (ie - you can get a table if you get in early enough). I know most places will be busy but its worth a try.
Someone suggested Rileys by The Adelphi, but never been in there myself.

Its when they change the prices of the drinks through the night dependant on how they are selling. Like say Peroni was selling loads, they put the price up but lower the price of another drink. Like a stock market.

Only heard of Chameleon doing it in townt though, but I havent been out in a long time!

As I said, I barely go out now but when it started it was ok, you just need to keep an eye on it as they have a screen up. Its aimed mainly at students I think and people who want to mix their drinks!
