Luck has totally deserted us this season. Considering we had Stevie, Fabio, Johnson, Reira and Skrtel out and Agger and Torres walking wounded I think we were IMMENSE!!

I feel a bit sick to be honest, but I still reckon we will go through, as I think Lyon will beat Fiorentina in Italy meaning that it goes down to the last game at Anfield (after we've beaten Debrecen of course!)

I'm baffled. How have we not got 6 points from the two Lyon games? How? Late, defensive mistakes have cost us in both those matches.

Rafa got it spot on tonight, but the players managed to throw it away.

Am gutted. Seriously gutted.

Every player comes away with credit, other than vorinon, lets just hope the 15 mill cost by not qualifying (probably) will harm G+H, but they in turn will see we and the club suffer instead no doubt

Can't see Lyon beating Fiorintina. Why? Great chance to knock out one of the fav's at the start of the competition. They've qualified. Fiorintina will be well up for it.

Only ourselves to blame. Dire performances in the first three games. Too much to do.

Main gripe tonight. Defence was awful for the goal but fuck the attacking players don't have put pressure on them. If Veronin had buried his chance we'd have won. Simple as that. How many chances do we need to convert?

Honestly have no idea what Rafa sees in Veronin. Doesn't score, can't beat a man, no skill, poor touch, slow, and creates nowt.

Sop why play him?

Europa cup here we come. Unfortunately Debrecin are so shite that we're certs for 3rd. Watch out bitters & Fulham.

our passing was piss poor. gave away the ball way too many times in possesion. agger and the greek were terrible.

didn't deserve that? the greek almost handwrapped a goal to lisandro earlier.

if anything lyon should have won.

Very Very unlikely that Lyon win,considering they are through.

Our Season over in november.

Very disappointed. I honestly thought we were winning and put a stop to our recent bad form. We did reasonably well considering the crew we had.

Although I'm gutted, there are a few positives. The overall performance was better and Mascherano and Agger were fantastic. We only have ourselves to blame though, we had enough clear cut opportunities to of put this game to bed. Voronin got a hiding on here but I thought Kuyt was just as bad and his recent form is a bit worrying based on how consistent he normally is.

Ryan Babel was summed up in five minutes with that superb goal and then blasting it out for a throw from a poor shot/cross, so frustrating and I have no idea what would be the the best thing to do with him. I'd hate for us to let him go only for him to shine elsewhere.

We just can't see out games anymore its got nothing to do with luck we shouldnt be conceiding that late on, the only postive assuming we go out is we get to concentrate on the league and play our strongest 11 every game may see us go on a good run but long term its a disaster in terms of our transfer budget next season.

I thought we played well. We obviously had a very thin squad, but we deserved the win. Poor defending from the Greek all night.

Wish we would've seen Aquilani. Why was he put on the bench if he was never going to play?

We are not taking our chances! We had 5 good chances today. Voronin should be hung for missing a chance like that.

We need more players who score goals. Torres and Benayoun were the only once i thought was going to score. Kuyt is back were he was before he was good for us. Babel scored a cracker though, raw talent!

Carra or skrtel would have done better than kyrigiakos at the goal. Kyri is really only good on the header.

I don't buy in to this deserving and luck crap. We get what we deserve and make our on luck. As in the first game we dominated them, got the goal and then waited for the game to finish.

We deserve going out for being so stupid. the worst thing is I half expected them to score after going in front. the worst thing is we seem even too stupid to learn from our mistakes

However i think Insua needs dropping, i just dont trust the lad at left back we look really weak there. That goal came from his inability to win a header, hes just not strong enough in the air.

The centre backs had a part to play. The big greek did some stupid last ditch tackle attempt which was just silly and prior to that, Agger stepped out when he shouldn't have.

Sometimes there's just nothing you can do. We battered them for 90 mins, one slip and we're pegged back. Kyrgiakos played well for the most part but it boils down to not having the players to do the job, sorry but Kyrgiakos and Voronin are just not good enough for any Liverpool XI.

What the hell was he doing missing that header? Then he compounded it by getting caught under the ball.
