Oh, and more Martyn; and first Hessle audio release. I have far too much love for this label.

Now that is nice,

Reminding me of 'Ayro - Let this' (isn't it annoying when nobody has the tune up on youtube to reference!)

Evening all.

Sorry if they've been posted before, but these three gems were all influenced by what's gone on before in this brilliant thread and also by vague recollections of the sort of music that was played in clubs and warehouses many moons ago in some kind of parallel universe. Enjoy.

And one more for luck...the first track off Black Dog's 'Bytes' album, which is on the stereo at the mo.

Plaid - Object Orient. A ridiculously funky chugger.

Been waiting on this release for a long time, as the Hessle chaps have been rinsing this for a while. Elgato's debut, Blue.

http://boomkat.com/vinyl/342857-elgato-tonight-blue

Also, while I may have posted these before, they fall within the same category as Martyn.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rDo0cCtUulE

loving the hessle and the pearson tracks here.

Technaisa - Exiled (long mix)

A surprise for me and a bit less manic than his other stuff to say the least (not that that's a bad thing in context). Loving the cut in reverb at 3'35 - it's like a nice warm duvet...

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/vaqizcjTuhU?fs=1&amp;amp;hl=en_GB" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" class="bbc_link bbc_flash_disabled new_win">http://www.youtube.com/v/vaqizcjTuhU?fs=1&amp;amp;hl=en_GB</a>

talk about whip cracking snares.  manic is definitely not my cup of tea these days i think i'd probably pitch this down a smidgeon too but a big, groovy house record.

ah plaid when they were still working under their black dog moniker.  some excellent stuff here.

here's three for a sunday morning pootling about before a mate's baby shower.

first up is wagon repair's legendary cobblestone jazz.  i first heard their lsd driven acid monster 'india in me' played by matt johnson himself at a villa party in ibiza a few years ago.  this is the less intense but altogether groovier 'mr polite'.  it works very well with harvey's extended family remix of 'ulysses' ;D

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4vFi_aUHkD4&feature=related

damian lazarus has used the previously posted and now 18 month old 'yoyo' on his new fabric mix but this is in a slightly different vein.  this slots into the 12am maternal vibe of all systems gone after parties that need a bit of warming up or some music to gently accompany stumbling round in someone's living room looking for more rizla.  its called 'soon' and this is the original mix.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A4mtyku8NhM&feature=related

Tiefschwarz Feat Seth Troxler - Trust (Jamie Jones remix).  enough said really.  music to fuck to.

one more for the baby shower.  the sublime remix of kellis by tiefschwarz from back in the days that electro-house wasn't a dirty hyphenated word.

 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MnIZU_Pbhys&feature=related

prime time raunch i first heard this played by the midfield general at the traktor party in cannes.

actually the kellis mix would work very well with this classic hip house remix from 88.  roxanne shante's 'live on stage'.  big and well worth a spin.

Show off!  :)

Some great links there. Really like the Cobblestone Jazz track.

Just for a bit of comedy value...have you ever seen this vid? Classic 80s fashions meet Juan Atkins. I love some of the dancing, it's like they're going "what the hell is this sh*t? Hey, actually it's funky as hell!" Whenever I tried to dance as coolly as that I usually ended looking like i was having a fit (bit like the lad at 2:11 in the grey suit!!). It's all about the smiling faces....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EarSRa19sZc

P.S. I'm in love with the girl at 2:15, even though she's dressed like my Aunty Joan.

There's a whole raft of excellent Terrace (Stefan Robbers) tracks on i-tunes. Working my way slowly through and downloading some faves. This ones from 1991...

get down.  doc martin rules.  a producer friend of mine was his driver in the 90s and said doc's health problems all stemmed from his diet.  he was addicted to shit mexican fast food and had to have his pancreas removed.  didn't change the fact that he was the biggest and best of the septics of the time for me - that low key, tracky build was like a broader minded terry francis for me.  plus he played the wicked parties as resident.  i remember asking youree - said driver - who his favourite guest was and he said, 'have you heard of a really cool english dude called harvey?' and i knew i had met a man of taste and distinction.  he did a mix for the label moonshine that is worth tracking down for its all round prime time excellence but here's something that sounds very doc to me though of a much younger vintage.  its gadi from wolf and lamb in sunrise mode with a driving slice of wistful tech flavoured house 'she don't' (original mix)

Glad you like.In my eyes you can't beat a bit of Doc.Its a shame he doesn't play over this neck of the woods very often.Last time i seen him live was at the Mint Club in Leeds about 8 years and he just built and built a relentless groove all night that just draws you in.

came across this very tasty shadowbox dub from 1991 on matt style's homage to the zanzibar club in new jersey 1993.  tony humphreys was the resident and that would lead most right thinking individuals to expect a whole lot of wailing divas (not my cup of tea) but matt has typically picked out a thread of sumptuous deep house always underpinned by driving beats.  its so good i'm now reminded why the whole deep house revival could actually be a very good idea.

midi maxi & efti - bad boys (colombia) - where are they now?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ab0jEdgGSlo

here's the track listing:

Low Key - Rainforest (Serious Grooves)
Chez Damier & Ralph Lawson - A Dedication To Joss (Serious Grooves/KMS)
Da Rebels - Sexcapade (Clubhouse)
Black Rascals - For The Next Time (Moody Mood) (Smack)
Master & CJ - In The City (State Street)
Romanthony - Falling from Grace (Murk Remix) (Paramodo)
Rozlyne Clarke - Eddy Steady Go (Atlantic)
D-Rail - Bring It On Drums (DDD)
The Toy Factory - Thinking About You (Random Access Records)
Underground Hop - The Creator (Bass Boy Records)
Santonio - Images (Santonio Mix) (Express Records)
Mission Control - Outta Limits (Deep South)
Subculture feat. Markus - The Voyage (Strobe Records)
Tony G - Tony's Song (Micmac)
Paradise Deep Groove - I Love (E Legal)
Egotrip - Dreamworld (R.E.M. Beats) (Outer limits)
Virgo - Do You Know Who You Are (Vocal Mix) (Radikal Records)
Don Carlos - Mediterraneo (Calypso Records)
Midi, Maxi & Efti - Bad Bad Boys (Shadowzone Dub) (Columbia)
Black Rascals - Blaze Theme Track (Sumo Records)

you can find the full zanzibar mix here

http://promomixes.com/

as you can see from the link there are a range of classic clubs on there - i can recommend the tresor mix for those that like it tough as well as the prestige selection of really moody belgian new beat but unfortunately i find the pure; sativa and house of god mixes well off piste for my refined tastes - but definitely start with the zanzibar selection if you like the general tone of this thread.

not strictly house and techno but a sublime selection from techno's elite damian lazarus.  never less than interesting i love the laz selections and there are more than a few corkers in here.  probably best enjoyed lying on the floor after smoking some primo afghani i'm making do with a dry tokaij while trying to get the wee man to sleep.   its free through itunes so well worth subscribing too.  last month's one off set from dj pauli is an after party afternoon session masterclass but this is back in a more typically weird selection of the old and the new building into some cracking box fresh cuts from the top of the range.  enjoy.

one of my favourite records ever by montreal's marc le clair better known as akufen or here in his horror inc guise.  this record is so associated with ibiza based daytime decadence for me that it still makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.  an all time classic this is as perfect a record as the great gatsby is a novel.

horror inc - in my garden (revolver)

I'll throw this one on from the main man,Doc Martin:

Lovely stuff. Anyone know the track that comes in around 21 mins?

"The Underground was truly the underground...people weren't tryin to make hits...no naming droppin....it was just straight up underground club hoppin"

Nicely crafted set with a sprinkling of classics. I've just sanded down & varnished a table to it in near record time.
