To be fair this is the first time this season that they have done this. Like Tommy_W said, it may be an attempt to keep the opposition guessing.

Thanks for the link. Unfortunately they put that up yesterday morning, but I don't think a decision was going to be made until the afternoon. Also they seem to be following newspaper reports that Torres had only been in light training, but lfc.tv seemed to suggest that wasn't true and that he's taken part in full training??

It's all a mystery, but I'm not expecting him to be on the bench to be honest, as Rafa seemed to hint they were leaning towards keeping him behind so that he could have a full day of rehab work.

who knows, but i don't think he will play. hopefully he will be fit enough to be on the bench!

Not sure Bale will start at left-back, Assou-Ekotto's been playing there for most of season so far.

Bale has been suspended recently hasnt he. And when A-E has played left-back Bale plays left midfield. I rate Bale very highly and there is no way that A-E will be played ahead of him at left back if Lennon is picked on the wing.

Aye, I'd be happy if that was the team. Obviously it has nowhere near as much steel in the midfield as yours, but I don't think we're gonna get a result by attempting to keep things tight anyway. We've just gotta play to our strengths, and that's in going forward.

Don't agree with that, Huttons been brilliant for us. He was fucking appalling on Wednesday mind, although apparently he was ill and played anyway.

It's Bale that doesn't look that great - constantly caught out of position defensively. Always seen him as more of a winger than a LB to be honest

Yep I think they are far better than perhaps theyve shown so far.

The BBC preview is always pretty out of date and is never very informative. I reckon Nando will be on the bench with a view to getting a 15min run out at the end.

I think Gomes is able to make a few decent saves to our plan should be to put in lots of crosses to test the keeper and hopefully he will make a few mistakes which we need to capitalise on.

As long as we keep it tight at the back we should be ok, we will get chances as there is no way they will put 10 men behind the ball

I cannot imagine how bad Gomes had been since he joined tottenham. When he was at PSV i thought he was one of the best keepers in the world. He was just so good. And now he looks like a bag of brazilian shit. I dont get what happend. The guy is such a good keeper. I hope he will start keeping better. Starting with next weeks match though.
