Not to be overconfident but i can just see one of those very clinical displays from us tomorrow. Where we'll starve Spurs of the ball for long periods, they'll get desperate and frustrated, make mistakes we and hope Keane or Gerrard or whoever pops up with the first goal.

Can't see how some people will be happy with a point from this game. Rafa talks about confidence and quality in equal measures, and we should have enough of both to see off a side at the opposite end of the table.

I don't think Rafa will be that happy if we 'drop' 2 points tomorrow, if a side leading the prem has any real ambition of actually winning the title, then settling for a point against a side rooted to the bottom should be a non starter.

We have just beaten Chelsea away, and suddenly people are worried about spurs, they have been shite all season, and only escaped defeat against Arsenal because Wengers men fucked up big style and didn't have the know how to protect a 2 goal lead in the 89th minute.

Personally I'll be well pissed off if we don't get all 3 points tomorrow.

I want us to beat them tomorrow cause I can't stand Croatian press since Ćorluka and Modrić signed for Spurs, you literally can't open a single paper without seeing at least 1 full page article about Tottenham,"Spurs this","Spurs that",Ramos,Redknapp blahblahblah

If some aliens landed in Croatia they would think that Tottenham is the biggest club in the history of football.

I'll watch the game in a pub full of people who will probably cheer them on and I want to go mental when we beat them!!!

You really can't expect anything other than a win for supposed title challengers against the bottom team, regardless of their current surge of form.

That being said I'd take another 'Win Ugly' game, that being said we are due to absolutely slaughter a team sooner or later, so heres hoping it's tomorrow.

I think we all know Spurs shouldn't be, and won't long remain, the team at the bottom of the division. Treating them as roll-over fodder would be a mistake.

They have had a terrible start, the manager lost the players and then lost his job.

Now they have a new manager who is no fool, an opportunity to be heroes, to save Spurs and to vindicate themselves.

After beating Bolton and drawing at the Emirates, they'll be riding a high like a part-time team in round six of the FA Cup.

They will want our scalp, make no mistake.

The good thing about Spurs is that they are expected to play attacking football at WHL, so they won't park the bus.

Hopefully, that should play into our hands (as long as it doesn't work!).

Since Spurs are coming off the big comeback on Wednesday night, I think they will be flying in the early parts of the game.  And since they're at home, they'll be flying and Redknapp will have them up.  But I think Rafa and the boys will be up for it and we'll be ready.  We'll control the ball and win 2-1.  It will be up 2-0 but they'll get a goal late to make it interesting in the end.

so glad spurs have got results in the last two games. takes the sting out of the new manager resurgence and their inevitable 'struggling, uncertain period' can commence with a nice 3-1 liverpool tomorrow.

every PL game is important, and will test Rafas managment skills and the players resolve, sure we know spurs are a better club than bottom place BUt at the same time we should aim for a win, and Rafa will..its all down to players to perform and FIGHT ..for every league game until 24 May 09

Spurs away can't be as tough as Chelsea away. I also think we are playing better away from home where teams comes out a bit more and attack us.

Interesting to see what formation we play if both Torres and Keane are fit. Our form seems to drop when we play 4-4-2 but we can't accomodate them both in the 4-2-3-1 when we pick our strongest 11, unless Keane gets played out wide left as he did at Villa which didnt work at all.

If Torres is fit he has to start, his pace will scare them to death if they leave gaps at the back.

For me it isn;t that they provide tougher opposition, it's if we are up for it as much. So far this season we have a superb never say die grab 'em by the balls mentality. Tomorrow is just another test of that.

But with Gomes, Gerrard should have a field day, the Spurs defence are still fairly crap and Keane should know them inside out. Would you bet on Keane having the Spurs defence's number or the Spurs defence having Keane's number? Got to bet on Robbie, really.

I agree with what you say and if we want to win the league then we have to be up for every game from now on as if it's a cup final. It's as simple as that and that is where the mental strength comes in.

I'm crapping myself about tomorrow's game.

The more I think about it, the more I feel it is really massive.
Because it's really a big test for us.

Did Spurs play particularly well on Wednesday?
Nah, not really, Arsenal threw away the chance to beat them comfortably.
But is their morale now sky high?
Most definitely. And they have some good players. Plus, Redknapp will have had a chance to prepare the team a bit too.

I think you've gotta say we played quite poorly against Portsmouth, even if we did come away with the 3 points in the end.
And although we played excellently against Chelsea, and in the 2nd half vs Man Utd, we have really stuttered this season in general.

Tomorrow is a real challenge to see if we can stay winning, because if we do, we really do have a great opportunity to kick on through the next few games.

A win would be huge, a defeat is not unthinkable.
It's big.

Come on Redmen.

I think Spurs will be a totally different proposition to the one they would have been without 'Arry and their last two results.

I'll be VERY happy with a 1-0, late on, against the run of play.

If we're going to win, we have to smash into them early.  A crunching tackle by Gerrard or Masch, or smothering them early on with non-stop pressing.  If we try and play at a slow tempo I think their confidence will grow and the game will end up a boring stalemate.

Redknapp had very little to do with the Bolton game ( he certainly didn't pick the team ) and against Arsenal they threw away the lead, and then got out of jail by Arsenal fucking up late on.

Is it just me that's not unduly worried about spurs, their goalie alone should fill us confidence, this fella is hopeless at set pieces, and in King and Woodgate they've got a couple of defenders that make Sami and Carra look quick !

              Keane
Babel    Gerrard    Kuyt
      Mascherano Lucas
Aurelio Agger Carra Arbeloa
             Reina

I still wonder when we'll rest Arbeloa. It needs to happen soon. he can't play all the time.

Spurs sure are full of confidence it maybe case of being brought back down to earth , i can see us giving a masterclass away perfomence killing any atmosphere that was there before the game similar to the everton game one of the most one sided 2-0 victorys if ever there was one.

But i do agree with the point about arbeloa and i think he might get his rest next tuesday.

Tomorrow should be a shoot/cross on site policy with gomes in there goal. But saying that i expect him to have a stormer tomorrow cos they always do don't they...

Bizarre comment - King is one of the fastest CB's in the league (possibly the fastest as I'm struggling to think of one quicker). Woodgate is quite slow though I agree

Against keane they won't struggle for pace but i feel for them if torres or babel comes on. Even king hasn't got that burst of speed he used to have cos of his dodgy knees.

Don't agree with that. When he plays he looks as good as hes ever done IMO. Take the Carling Cup final for example - looked worldclass. Its just getting him on the pitch in the first place that's the problem!

Well you're in a better position to judge him but from what i've seen of him this season he's started to look leggy in the last 30 mins of a match

Expect to see riera and alonso in the team instead of babel and lucas.

But i do agree with the point about arbeloa and i think he might get his rest next tuesday.

Tomorrow should be a shoot/cross on site policy with gomes in there goal. But saying that i expect him to have a stormer tomorrow cos they always do don't they...

Gotta agree with this, should be closer to a first choice team tomorrow, with the exception of Torres.

If Arebeloa is rested I wonder if Spurs might be the game Rafa goes for, saving him for Atletico (not that I'd necessarily agree with this).
