The big thing now is to win against Stoke next week.

If we beat Stoke next week then we open up a futher gap over Chelsea or United because they play at the Plastic Flag Dome next week.

I live in stoke so no going to a pub for that game :(

Did he really say that? What a piss take.

He said he wasn't sure whether it was a sending off and would need to see it again. But then he said Carra and Skrtel were using their elbows all game and nothing was given, and that the referee favoured us today.

He didn't look very impress.... it was a sight to behold.

Fantastic performance.  From the Tevez goal on, we dominated pretty much every facet of the match except offsides and bookings.

Everyone played so well and our passing was much improved.

Just fantastic!

Well in, Red Men!

Fucking hell that felt good. I almost had an orgasm when Babel scored.

Well done Riera. Considering that a match of this magnitude was the platform for his debut he fully deserves the reception he got when he came off. He was knocked around a bit early on but he settled well.

Xabi also played well. If only he could sustain that kind of performance we'd be sorted.

I agree. Same goes for Keane. Fair enough, he didn't actually miss two sitters like Kuijt although it was hard to tell if he did because, unlike Kuijt, Keane never even managed to hit the ball!

Should have been 3 or 4-1 if it hadn't been for those two being so wasteful.

None the less, I doubt I'll care if we win the league 3 points ahead of them come May!

Another thing, we didn't have to risk Torres.  The hamstring is so crucial and the fact that we won without risking his health is also a massive plus.

And Stevie looked ok.  Really hope Masch is all right.  He was immense.

Kuyt was excellent today. He had maybe two instances of bad control, but other than that he was spot on. I cant' even criticise his finishing...on the replays, he put the ball in the right areas, was just a little unlucky, but him and Keane didn't let their defense settle for a minute, which was a big part of our win today.

Thought Kuyt was excellent, and my personal choice for man of the match, worked hard and linked up superbly with those around him.

Seems to have slightly lost his confidence in and around the six yard box, though....I have no doubt that he would have buried both those chances when he first arrived here.
