Who? Yossi? Gerrard's a decent midfielder too.

Haha. Yossi is quite good in a central role just behind the striker. Fucking painfully bad on either flank.

Also, I hope to God that Skrtel is not fully fit, if he is being dropped in order to use Sami fucking Hyypia.

El Zar, mate. He'll be okay.

You think El Zhar's our replacement for Pennant then?  A bit surprised he's ahead of some of the other reserves.

Lolzies. More chance of a wank off the pope than beating United, I'm afraid. It is beyond Benitez, apart from when they were at their lowest ebb, when we knocked them out of the FA Cup. They certainly aren't anywhere near there now.

its beyond me that Kuyt starts at RW when Pennant would be better than him

Not better at tracking back against a team who will try to put the pressure on us early on. Kuyt is a pragmatic choice, always has been.

I'd imagine that Agger is on the bench due to Jones' presence on the pitch. Alonso had a dead leg, hope that's the reason and now just because he's had a falling out.

I don't think anybody really does, but if its a choice between him and Kuyt, picking Pennant is comparable to choosing death by shooting over death by hanging, drawing and quartering.

I disagree, he has played very well for us a few times out wide - he always looks for the ball and tries to make things happen. He's not a traditional winger, but when he comes inside from wide positions he gives teams all sorts of problems because he is so difficult to track, as we saw away at Wigan and Chelsea in the CL last year and against Man City at home for example. I thought he was one of our better players midweek out wide, not like that is saying much. If we line up with more of a 4-2-1-3 in particular he'll do a good job interchanging with Dirk on the flanks.

I'd take Yossi over any players in our squad except for Gerrard or Babel on the wing.

Not convinced by that mid-field. Not sure if Plessis is quite up to it yet. So i expect to see Gerrard playing quite defensively. Which worries me, don't see us having much prenetration if thats the case. Going to be a very scrappy game this.

No way. At least you can trust Dirk not to do something stupid and to give maximum effort. He has a decent cross, plus he chips in with goals, something Pennant never does.

Pretty worried about the team.

Wish Benitez would get over his personal vendetta's and play the strongest players we have.

I don't believe for one second that anything is wrong with Xabi Alonso, and would be more entitled to believe the story that he has asked to leave.

atleast he can fuckin run with the ball and put a cross in.

A shit cross floated over the goal mouth. Then a tantrum or two, a stupidly conceded free kick which leads to an opposition goal and then a booking or red card for being a thick twat.

You c*nt show some respect to a legend

Why do you illiterates wank off him so much? He used to be great, and indeed, is a legend. He isn't any great any more. We're playing against a team with one of the fastest strikers in the league. Has anybody ever seen post 2005 Sami playing against a team with quick forwards? No?

We desperately needed Sami's heading and experience on Wednesday. We never won a header the entire game and looked panicked at times. But the one who looked most scared was Plessis.
