Mine too.

I'd take seeing a Bon-led AC/DC before any other original lineup

That includes The Beatles, Floyd, Stones, The Who or even Atomic Kitten.

Now THAT'S an all star lineup.

The 800 kegs of beer seals the deal for me.

I may have mentioned this before, I got given a box of badly damaged 7" singles in a shoe box years ago.
Most were utter shit and tossed in the bin straight away.
An AC/DC one caught my eye, but was in a bad way - warped to fuck, no cover and barely playable.
Turned out it was the debut single (Can I Sit Next To You Girl), recorded before Bon was in the band. They were still a glam band at that point.
Lashed it "as is" on Ebay, got over $700 AUD for it!
We are Liverpool!

Loved the short lived Eurovision stage of their career.

I love all the Bon Scott era.  But the music on the Highway to Hell album became so refined with Mutt Lange on board.  I absolutely love the album as a whole.  My favourite.

Its scary to think how good the next album with Bon could have been.  For me, the band was hitting a peak around that time.

Makes you wonder how much they changed those songs themselves and how much influence Mutt Lange had, as there are some massive differences with how they ended up on Highway To Hell

If You Want Blood and Night Prowler are my favs on HTH.

Again, every track is great though

Touch too Much.   Sure I read that was the last ever song Bon performed live prior to his death.  The band has never performed it Live since.   Not googled it, so please correct me if I'm wrong.

They played it live in 2016 when Axl Rose stood in for Brian Johnson.
Does that count?  ;)

Not sure Bon ever sang it live either. Perhaps it’s known as the last song he sang because they did it on TOTP a week or two before he died I think.

Almost certainly would have been miming back then though. I’m sure I’ve seen the footage, thought it might have been on the Plug Me In DVD set I’ve got but it’s not, expect its on YouTube.

Mutt Lange really did push Bon to some incredible highs on HTH

As much as I would absolutely love to see them one more time live, I’ve just listened to them practicing ahead of the Power Trip festival and they need to stop or replace Brian. He can’t even hold a note anymore. It’s sad really

Agreed.
He comes across as a genuine, lovely fella, but his voice is totally fucked.
Down to him singing direct from his throat for years and not from his diaphragm.

Has anyone seen any footage from the Power Trip set over the weekend. I’d suggest avoiding it. So bad.

I can’t believe they can’t see it themselves. It’s just a million miles away from the quality of live performance and musicianship that is AC/DC.

I really hope they call it a day now

Seen a few clips on youtube.
They have been a tribute act for some time now, but now they are a circus act.

Time to pack it in, lads.

Just thought I'd pop this in here.

https://youtu.be/QAxBEfKeOzw?si=aYqE_bHpivai8Mdv

Its Brian Johnson singing on one of the tracks from the new Slash blues album. Just thought it was interesting as he sings much lower. Theres also a cameo from Steven Tyler.

My mate sent me that as well. He sounds much better singing in that lower range now. Unfortunately there aren’t many AC/DC songs that would work for

Just been watching some of the stuff on YT of their first show of the new tour tonight.
They sound better than PowerTrip Inc Brian, although he’s still not sounding great.
The set list is phenomenal but they understandably lack energy, and AC/DC without energy just doesn’t seem right.

As I’ve said before they’ve more than earned the right to do whatever they want, but my overriding emotion watching is that it’s quite sad to see them like this.
