I think the criticism of who is still there is harsh. Says more about those PDC guys that got knocked out than the 'BDO'ers' still there.

The likes of Barney, Peter Wright, Suljovic and Wade all under performed massively.

Darts suffered for years with the same old guys winning. We should be happy that there is a new crop willing to step up

Joyce will get hammered tonight but will probably average about 97. Playing MVG helps your average because in a lot of legs you're only throwing scoring darts. If Chisnall were playing MVG last night he would have averaged about 104 because MVG wouldn't have given him the opportunity to fuck about on the doubles in the 3rd set which crippled his average. I think MVG will probably win the tournament but men like Anderson, Chisnall and Smith have the game to beat him, especially over set play. He trims everyone else left, although I haven't seen much of Humphries to judge his game. Maybe he is capable too.

Theres always been great up and comming talent, but more often than not they drop off ..with this batch of younger players, id say some of them are going to be around for a long time, Aspinall and Humphries impressed me the most, not just the scoring,but the bottle they hve.. and thats what separates the men from the boys.
