I don't think suddenly playing in front of an audience, inc your parents will particularly help Wilson either.
Yeah very true think Wilson would have done much better without the crowd makes it feels more like a practice session than a world final. I mean I don't think he can beat Ronnie over this long of format but still would have been a better contest. Is Snooker the only sport that has allowed fans back in, I don't get that is it easier to patrol the crowd or something?

A video in Twitter posted last night that went viral.

Video showing Ronnie getting a 147 earlier in his career lined up alongside a video of Selby taking one shot against John Higgins in the Northern Ireland Open.

Higgins looked livid sat in his chair while Selby was wondering how to hit a simple red, he actually missed it as well.

Its from last year. It'll likely get brought up once a year and everyone will share it as if it's only been made

This is why people are turning on Selby.

People kick off at Ronnie for his comments are times but Selby kills the game. Selby makes it boring.

Ronnie playing a different game so far today but maybe thats because Wilson won't take 10 mins to think over a shot.

Been a shocking final this.

The matches peaked in the semis, I think the final will be absolute shite in comparison, with it being a stroll for Ronnie..

Overall, its been a pretty good watch this year mind.

I haven't bothered to watch any of the final.

There's scrappy because of excellent safety play though, and then there's scrappy because the players can't string two pots together.

This match has mostly been the latter :P

Wilson looking good now though, Ronnie is all over the place.

I always like the unpredictability of two players playing poorly, also love tactical battles, but find break building a bit boring at times.

Wilson is playing pants, just less pants then O’Sullivan.

Ronnie somehow gets out of there with a 3 frame cushion after a horrible session.

The winner of this match will depend entirely on which version of Ronnie O'Sullivan turns up tomorrow.

I remember one of the commentators saying it a couple of years back, that while professionals and purists prefer watching break building a survey of fans found that most actually preferred the safety exchanges.

Big chance missed by Wilson there, O’Sullivan was on the ropes there and while he closed the gap, it should have been a lot closer. I can’t imagine O’Sullivan being that shit again tomorrow.

Wilson will be delighted with that having been 6 behind. I think Ronnie will too having played absolute shite all day. If he played half as good as he did in the final 3 frames yesterday he'd only be 4 or 5 frames from victory.

Hmm. Not sure. Wilson could easily have gone in 9-8 up, so he’ll be kicking himself a bit. But obviously it’s looking a bit better for him. Still in it, that’s the main thing. Ronnie had the run of the balls in the two he won.

Wilson could and did shrug off the frame he lost when the red went in after he potted the blue as just total bad luck. But that last one he lost was his own mistake, tough a chance as he had with the red stuck to the top cushion. I hope he wins at least the first two this afternoon. I don't want his head to drop.

Yeah I like safety exchanges as well. Watching big break is great too, especially when it's the like of O'Sullivan and Ding who are masters at it but I love watching the tension of safety exchanges, particularly when it comes to the end of a frame. Like it did at the end of the Wilson-McGill match on Friday.

Yeah, a lot of it depends on whose playing. Maintaining our longstanding references to Leicester, I struggle to watch Mark ‘the Grinder’ Selby, his negativity and approach to the game is something I really struggle with. Some like Higgins manage to mix the defensive and more attacking parts of the game well, Selby is form of torture.

Yeah, Higgins is probably the best all round player I've ever seen. Agree about Selby too, he's is excellent at it but it's sometimes such a drag to watch him. And he seems to have gotten progressively worse too (feel bad to say that about someone from Leicester :P). O'Sullivan has a fine safety game as well as well as obviously being a wonderful break builder.

I'm hoping Wilson can make a game of it today, probably depends more on what kind of O'Sullivan turns up.

Wilson positional play is dreadful.

Last night Wilson brought his A game and Ronnie brought his W play.

Ronnie was always going to improve today but Wilson needs to vastly improve his game. He will get the odd decent win here and there because he's a fighter but he will learn a lot from this match.

I don't think there's any guarantee he does. It's been 7 years since his last one. Winning this doesn't make it a formality that he wins any others.
