As posted by Will M on RAOTL (well it was never going to come from anyone on here was it  ;) )

Tune: La Cucaracha
(even a comedy clip for those that don't know the tune)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ghbMqkRsFd0

FERNANDO TORRES
FERNANDO TORRES
NA NA NA NA NA NA NA NA...

...and repeat

*hip shaking is also permitted*

WINNER

Nice tune but wrong player.

Save it for a Mexican.

Maybe we can get Andrés Guardado the left winger off the Mexican National team who plays for Atlas. After all Rafa is looking for a winger or two. :P

Same tune to my other Rafa Benitez song, sung in a few away pubs last year. Fact:

Rafa Benitez, Rafa Benitez,
Luis , Xavi, Gonzalez.

Started slow, then faster with everyone bouncing around, Arsenal away especially.

Since when did we sign Xavi from Barca?

It's Xabi, not Xavi, the letter 'V' is non-existent in the Basque language

At last, someone else thinks the same. Been after that for ages, think they are trying to wait until I'm dead first.

As Rafa said to me, "Jesus son you must be 7 feet tall"

I replied: "I'm 6ft 1 and a half boss"

Rafa: "That's near enough 7ft for me son"

Why don't we use the Proclaimers Morientes song? The only bit that needs changing is the chorus and everyone knows the words

Because it wouldn't scan.
st so
Morientes would have to be replaced with "Nando Torres" and that just sounds a bit shit

I'll be shocked if it's anyone other Etoo. Etoo or no-one. Simples.

In fact, I'll do you all a favor and ban myself from the January transfer window forum if we get anyone other than Etoo.

You obviously need something more substantial in your life like a huge Costco sized box of jam rags, seeing as you're such a massive fucking quim

Another contribution by a lad on RAOTL:

..as far as I know it's totally original for a football song, and a legendary tune. Innovate don't imitate, in one..

Would love to hear a song to this, class!!! tune

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GdNh9f2Wwm0 (48 seconds in, I have done my homework)

How about FERNANDOOOOOO...TORRES......NA NA NA NA NA NA NA NA NA NA NAAAAA....FERNANDOOOOOO...TORRES......NA NA NA NA NA NA NA NA NA NA NAAAAA (Scarfs swinging, getting a bit quicker an louder)

Hope it catches on, the na na nas are a bit of a mouthful though, cant quite make out how that would be sung. The first one you suggested is damn catchy, but dont know if Fernando would like being given a song that was originally about a Cockeroach.
