Dunno if Torres will enjoy the tune - La Cucaracha....isn't that a cockcroach?

The "Arrriiiiiba, Ariiiba" song.....thumbs up from me.
Stevie G has more than one song,i'm liking this as a simple "STEVIE GERRARD" type second song for Torres to whatever becomes the main one.
Very easy to pick up on & i think it could get off the ground.
link.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VuJUIK4uIwQ  from 11 secs to about 19 secs in the clip.

NAH NAH NA NAHH FER-NAN-DO TORRES...

could be added to?
Was thinking of this tune, would be piss easy. Spaniards sing it at their games - "Ay ay ay ay canta no llores" - and were singing it all during the last WC.
Ay ay ay ay Fer-nan-do Torres.
Here they are singing it in Old Trafford. not the best clip but you get the picture.

La Cucaracha for Torres? No please!!! Here in Spain always have sounded "ridiculous".

Here in Spain was a simple song: "Fer.nan.do Tooorres lololloo, Fer.nan.do Toooorres lolololo" with this rthm:

http://es.youtube.com/watch?v=IirlBqFzgDk

It says: "Suddenly start to hear the claps from the stand... and one song.. Fer-nan-do Tooorres lolololo, FernandoToooorres lolololo..."

**This is the people singing him after he missed a penalty. He always said that this was the best moment (most emotive) of his carrer.

a load of spanish lads (some sort of sunday league footy team or something they were) surrounded me on a recent trip to the nou camp earlier this month and sang that Torres chant towards me because i was wearing my liverpool shirt at the time

i felt a right tit but the chant sounded good

and its lalalalalala not lololololo

Does it really matter if your a wool, OOT?

For a start, I'm a match goer.

IMO, we might as well do Fernando Torres clap clap clap clap clap.

Sounds very Teletubbyish to me.

What are we going to call this song?   Na na na na na written by La La.

Fair call... I mean, we'll all recognise the tune and any 2 year old could sing it but do we really want to be singing such a camp/kitschy song?  Why don't we do a 'FER-NAN-DO... Ole' Ole' Ol'e' adaptation of Ricky Martin's 'Cup of life' while we're at it and drop our dacks and start buggering each other?

Just my opinion mind... feel free to sing it if you like it.

If you read through some threads you will find him a little hypocritical to say the least.
Anyone suggesting songs for players etc. is called a beaut........but then days later he's starting his own song threads with lyrics on par with joey deacon.

But beware or you may get....whhooooooooooosh......cyber slapped.

solid suggestion... easy to sing the main part and gives 'many possibilities' for additional verses if the song gets popular

Still think this is great.....

To the tune of the Animals go in two by two

A slightly faster version of this:
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=XNl7WyLbtvg&mode=related&search=

they came to take our Luis away Tara Tara
Fernando came the other way hurrah hurrah
Fernando said no to the mancs
ill rather play for the five times champs
and we all get blind drunk when torres scores a goal

Fernando Torres came from Spain, Ole, Ole,
He came to make us great again, Ole, Ole,
The Spion Kop will roar him on,
He scores the goals and he scores for fun,
And we all get blind drunk when Torres scores a goal......

He really has the speed and class hurrah, hurrah
All he needs is a damn good pass hurrah, hurrah
He’s quick, he’s slick, he’s got a good trick
Along with Xabi he'll make us tick
And we’ll all get blind drunk when Torres scores a goal

Minor ajustments to be made of course.

thats dead good that..itd prolly have to just be one verse to work at the match proper tho.

but all ironed out thatd be class...

i thought 'join the five times champs' would run better, n the last verse needs tweakin to flow

I know its a laugh making songs up for new players
but i think its a bit early to actually get the right one
going so soon for Torres.  Let him play a few games,
see what personality developes and how he plays for
us.  Then the right song will come and it will be so much
better.
For example the Gerrard and Carra's songs came naturally
and they reflect the players' perfecly.

Torres will be great and so will his song.

Gerrard and Carra songs reflect the players?

Carra being he's scouse he's sound... because, well he is.
Gerrard being the "big and he's fucking hard" one, cos, er... it's a whopper song?

Don't know if there is a song yet but what about this, it's very simple and plain i suppose but it's effective:

to the tune that a lot of championship clubs play when they score, the 'champions league your avin a laugh' one:

El Nino
El Nino
El Nino
Elllll Nino!!

and keep repeating it, it does fit
"IT'S ENDED.....THE EUROPEAN CUP IS RETURNING TO ENGLAND AND TO ANFIELD."

In our Liverpool supporters pub, We have been trying a load of different ones and this has caught on the best....Sing it to yourself and you'll see how good it is

There was someone in the box that night
He shined so bright, Fernando
He was scoring goals for you and me
For LFC, Fernando
He came from Atletico,
Now he's a red
Now we have El Nino in our ranks
So fuck the mancs, Fernando

It has everything, Catchy, not too short, El Nino reference, Fuck the mancs line, and his history (Came from Atletico) ....

That's what got on the best out of the ones we tried anyway....
