Got ejected at half time for having a drink out of my mates hip flask. 4 of them dragged us out the back, then 6 of them surrounded us, talked to us like shit and said we had 2 options - leave quietly or get arrested. Fucking joke. Would never have happened in the home end. All for one swig of brandy.

Consequently missed the goals, smoke bombs etc.

On the plus side we ended up in the pub round the corner where we met a few Villa fans who told us the stewards at Villa park are pricks. They took us into town for a few bevies afterwards  :D

Exactly same happened to me at Villa Park in 1992 when we played Portsmouth in the semi final replay, AVFC stewards always been wankers.........................

It was a plastic 2 litre bottle of cider though !!  ;D :hally

left right and effing centre smoke bombs are being called flares. one emits light, the other smoke. how are such misunderstandings happening

Yes! Finally someone who also agrees that how irritating it is when the two get mixed up.

Personally, I think they're fine. Look class aswell.

Should be a few interesting comments by those at the game. Heard plenty of the chants, noticed the stewards lining up trying to get inbetween of anyone trying to create an atmosphere.

Reading can fuck off with their always the victim shouts.

The stream I watched sounded like they had intentionally turned the crowd noise as low as possible - suddenly after 20 minutes whoever was opperating the broadcast fucked up and switched it back to the actual volume levels and nearly took the roof off my house.  Sounded great.

Just back an hour ago and to say some people had a party was an understatement!

The massive balloon that burst midway inside the 2nd half not only scared the shit out of the steward but the referee had a chuckle with some of the players as he cacked it too.

Also, I applauded the Reading fans at the start for their response to the minutes silence and chants of JFT96, but having heard them taunt us away fans with 'Always the victim, never your fault' I will enjoy every second of their relegation struggle, and pray that they never step foot in the Premier League again. Might have been just a few c*nts singing that and I bet that what ever team we were playing they would sing it. What chants did we have?

That's me on the right of the banner. Steward tried to take it off me before the minutes silence coz of the maggie reference. I just said this is for the 96 and he left after a couple of urchins told him to do one.

The anti-Thatcher celebrations and parties are vital.

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/eP0z-wlFtAA?version=3&amp;amp;hl=en_GB" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" class="bbc_link bbc_flash_disabled new_win">http://www.youtube.com/v/eP0z-wlFtAA?version=3&amp;amp;hl=en_GB</a>

They are vital, because they add balance to the distorted view of her leadership that is being pedalled through the media. Otherwise, she will be allowed to pass with a soft-focused and nostalgic legacy that will afford her a dignity that she does not deserve. The celebrations will ensure that the darker side of her existence is recorded for posterity and not buried along with her body.

So, if you hate Maggie Thatcher clap your hands......

Good for you.  A few years ago I, amongst the away support on which this thread focuses, as you so clearly point out,  ::)  certainly didn't get a kick out of watching many little girls, and little boys, and mums and dads doing the old throat cutting gestures, monkey noises and antics at our players, and the chants we all know so well, and which their website made sure the words were printed in case they hadn't kept themselves up to speed prior to our arrival.   If you don't understand the history ............   ::)
