The Spurs fans I know buy into this 'he allowed the national team job to be a distraction' theory and couldn't care less if he's sacked.

I have a hard time understanding that theory...a player makes a poor pass because he's thinking about his manager at the time of the pass?  Or maybe they just think he didn't give a flip during the team's slide.  I doubt each of those ideas.

No, Spurs fans felts 'pre-jilted' and now they want to do the jilting.  Fairly emotional and stupid considering they did get to the CL and have the ability to do that again with some stability.

But there's no sign of that happening now.  He has to be out.  They don't seem interested in extending the contract now and 'arry will do nothing but whine to the press that the players don't respect him any more because he's in his last year of the contract.  Now that will be a distraction!

Gardening Leave with explicit instructions not to talk to the press. 'Arry would last 2 hours tops.

Only if he took 2 hours to get from his space in the car park at the Lane to the exit gates, as we all know his window would be wound down ready for the SSN cameras when he got to that point! :)

I'm sure he can't wait to get a job in Qatar. He'd feel right at home with all that lucrative tax-free money.
If he retires I'll eat my fucking cock.

Personally think Redknapp is overrated.

He seems to have a lot of friends in the media which helps his reputation.

A good manager but not a great one that the English media suggest. He just happens to be the best out of a bad bunch.

What do his 'friends' in the media have to do with him turning Spurs into a top four team? Do they pick his team? Manage his tactics? Buy his players?

Unless they bring in a top, top manager, could see Spurs really falling if they lost Redknapp.
You don't have to like the man, but over time he's done a fantastic job there.

Much as Spurs have done well to get Top 4 they've been helped massively by the respective collapses of us, Chelsea & Arsenal at differing points over the last 3 years. Lets not make out they smashed everyone's expectations. They had a horrendous second half of the season last season & ordinarily you'd assume Chelsea would of passed them & the season prior to that we finished within touching distance of them having had Roy in charge for the first half........

I'd love Moyes to take over in the hotseat at Spurs.

With his brand of football, they'd be calling for his head before very long.
I'm really hoping Sturridge busts out the wacky dip when he scores.

Media revisionism, I'm afraid.  They finished 5th twice, then 11th and 8th (when Redknapp took over after the start of the season), then 4th, 5th, 4th.  The Juande Ramos period was the exception, not the Harry Redknapp period.  They spend money on transfers and wages that should have them up in that bracket - it isn't some sort of managerial miracle.  And his best players aren't one he bought - he bought RVV, but Modric, Bale, Lennon, and others were all there before he arrived.

Average manager.  Over 30 years in football management, and only an FA Cup to show for it.

Or Levy goes on SSN and claims 'We are having a look at X manager' whilst Redknapp is still at spurs.

No but Rafa did the same and he didn't get anywhere near as free a pass as Redknapp does, when things don't go well.

That's not media revision, that's your revision. The Spurs sides that finished 5th didn't have Man City to conted with. The second time we finsihed 5th, we were closer to 9th than 4th on points. In terms of spending on wages and transfer fees  why don't you look how much has been spent by us under Redknapp and compare it with Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Man City and Aston Villa. I promise you we'll be 7th on that list. 30 years in football and this was his first chance at a decent sized club and he siezed the opportunity.

Redknapp has never had a Rafa like poor season whilst at Spurs though. Rafa finshed 7th, for Redknapp to have the equivalent poor season with Spurs, he'd have to take us to outside the top 10. The idea of us finishing 4th as not going well is absurd, despite what many of our fans might think.

Gave us our best ever Premier League finishes! We aren't Man Utd. For us finishing in the top 4 is a great achievement. He took a team that was bottom on the league into the CL. That's seizing an opportunity.

What do his 'friends' in the media have to do with him turning Spurs into a top four team? Do they pick his team? Manage his tactics? Buy his players?

Certainly don't criticise him.

Remember the amount of stick Rafa got from the media when Robbie Keane was sitting on our bench. Funny how when he returned to Spurs nothing much was mentioned about him not getting into the first team or when he was sold.

How much did the media criticise him when he totally lost it in the last few months ago of the season? Instead they kept making excuses for him. How his head was turned with the English job etc.

Also how much criticism did he receive during the court case? Imagine if it was Rafa or Kenny who didn't pay their taxes.

Some of Redknapp's explanations during the court case was an joke. He doesn't send emails, can't text, could barely read or write etc.  However, Capello was criticised originally because he couldn't speak proper English.
