People were talking before he got the job again, about how he "had been out of the game too long". We all knew it was bollocks.
But he says in his book that he never liked dealing with the press, and that he didn't know what to say (I recall one excellent bit when one journalist asked him "What do you say to the people that are calling you monosyllabic, Kenny?". In his book he said he couldn't resist and just replied "What?" before walking off
).
Maybe the break out of football did him good with the whole dealing with the press thing. Allowed him to sit back and look how other people dealt with it maybe?
I don't know, i'm just thinking out loud I guess...just seems that he's a far cry from how he used to act.
