I’m assuming that if 777 get knocked back by the prem what happens to the 200 mill they’ve used (of other people’s money) to keep the club operating.?

They are a creditor and will want the money back asap.  It could tip Everton into liquidation but if that happens they get nothing. It’s delicate at the moment until a creditor realised they won’t get money back and call in the debt.

Best thing the owner can do is find a buyer and sell it to them for a £1. If he can find anyone that stupid.

Away from the large scale financial shenanigans I take it that Self Righteous FC are now happy that they have avoided relegation and can remain sticking their snouts into the trough of filthy lucre the Corrupt PL provide .

And yet Farhad has been happy to take 20 mil a month off 777 to keep the players paid and the lights on.

Everton are like the wife of a rich, aristocratic husband that she hates, but will fight tooth and nail for them to stay together for the lifestyle and status.

They hate the corrupt PL but their whole raison d'etre is to stay in it at all costs (and to stop any super league).

If the takeover does not go through, I assume it that 777 will call in their loans. Any idea what kind of interest they are charging?

Will they want all the money they’ve put in over the last few months back? What happens to that?

with 777 I guess it would depend on the terms of repayment, if they are entitled to payment of even small part on demand they would be able to put Everton into administration, with a 9 point penalty they would be back in relegation contention. It would be a gamble as in  administration they would get little back but the threat might see them get preferential repayment from any interested buyer.

777's finances are so shit that the best thing that could happen is the deal falls through and they somehow get their money back with interest... which might keep their 'rob Peter to pay Paul' shell game going for a bit longer.

It isn't their money and they've earned the interest in the interim. 777 goes bust but you can be sure that the shifty guys in the baseball caps will have their personal wealth protected. A high-stakes gamble in which the losers will be other people, brought to you by under-regulated Capitalism.

It's an unsecured loan. They still need to pay it back. Some of the blues have heard the term unsecured and seems to think it's a gentlemans agreement type of deal.....For 200million quid. ;D

Plus, if they've been relying on £20 million a month prop ups from their prospective new owners, and that money suddenly stops coming in, it doesn't take a genius to see that they struggle to continue as an entity without fresh money coming from elsewhere

Every taxi driver in the city, probably.

Knowing Everton, instead of getting a petro-state sheikh billionaire, they'll end up with a guy who runs a 24 hour petrol station in Formby.

Bloomberg reporting that MSP Capital are looking at a takeover if 777 goes kaput. Paywall though

US investment firm MSP Sports Capital is exploring a takeover of Everton FC as the current bid for the Premier League football club falters, according to a person familiar with the matter
