If you want to read twitter, this is the one to read:

https://twitter.com/mochatra/status/1104143932852748289?s=21

City wage bill went up only 13% between 2013 to 2018 on their accounts. The big 6 premier league rivals went up an average of 60%.

I'm convinced that whoever replaces Guardiola will not get them to play at the same peak level regardless of who they buy. He's made a few rather mediocre players look acceptable/good. Without Pep, the flaws of Sterling and Stones would there for everyone to see.
Completely agree, he is a brilliant coach regardless of the money he's spent, it's bitterness to suggest otherwise. I dislike Man City as much as the next guy (don't have any problem with Pep though), but let's not be stupid here: Guardiola leaving would be a massive boost for Liverpool over the coming years. This current team would be pissing the league against Pellegrini or Mancini's teams.

If they aren't punished in line with the offenses committed then the game is fucked, literally, in sporting terms it's the equivalent of me robbing a bank, being filmed doing so, then caught with the cash, and the authorities letting me keep my loot, then hitting me with a £20 fine and 3 penalty points on my licence for driving away from the heist a bit too quick.

The footballing authorities need to act decisively, or they lose all credibility.

Not sure they have any credibility left mate

how many have left with european and and transfer bans was the point

You are arguing what he has done in the past, the potential situation with city this summer is far worse than what he has had to deal with before when his time was up at barca and bayern

This is all beside the point.

Manchester City have broken both the regulations of the governing bodies of domestic and international football and appear to have broken British accounting laws into the bargain. They're a minor yo-yo club bought by a man whose brother is on video torturing a former business partner with a cigarette lighter and running over his legs in his Range Rover, absolute rulers of a nation in which homosexuality is illegal, indentured labour is practiced, and where the ruling family can spend what they want on anything equal in value to all the oil under the ground.

So fuck them, and fuck anyone who defends them.

Since it hasn't ever happened, there is no precedent.  Actually, I have only argued that he honors contracts - others like yourselves, kept re-framing the argument to fit your agenda

You are speaking about potential eventualities and even Pep in his pressy yesterday acknowledged if they are found guilty, they will accept the penalties and go forward - there was no intimation that a gloom & doom outlook was looming, irrespective of many hoping/wishing for it

Exactly. Josep Guardiola's integrity is totally irrelevant. We agree.

The point is that Manchester City have broken both the regulations of the governing bodies of domestic and international football and appear to have broken British laws governing accounting into the bargain. I honor logic which you clearly do not while continuing to change the point of discussion - dizzying really.  I can only conclude you obviously accept your original post about Pep bailing on Bayern was nonsensical and devoid of any facts.  Honored his contracts/committments, else carry on with the bitterness

good grief.

This is a thread about City, and by default, My Morals himself Pep Guardiola.  I made a flippant comment about his loyalty to Bayern and for some reason you have a big sulk on about it. There IS no point to follow, it was a throwaway comment.

I honestly dont give a shit that everyone knew he was going for the blood money long before he left Bayern, I can't stand them. So what is the big deal. But I tell ya what, I was delighted he left the Bundesliga, because, strange as this is, his football often bores me to tears, so I was very happy to see him leave and go to a league I don't watch as much.

More than anything I was amused about you making a point hes loyal and seeing out his contracts. Like seeing out these massive money contracts somehow shines a wonderful light on him  ;D

No, weve got to pip them by a point and then they can get deducted enough to knock them down to 5th or L2 whatever.
But what about the possibility of retrospective action for crimes in previous seasons?. I think we get a premiership cup for 2013/14 as well. Like bloody buses, you wait ages then 2 come at once

Seven if I recall correctly. I don't think the gap has ever been 10 points with the same number of games played.

I think it would have been 10 if we had beaten them at the Emptyhad.

If they were stripped of the PL from 2013/14 and it was given to us I don't think I'd even bat an eyelid. It would be such a shallow victory. This season though, I wouldn't mind. We'd have the chance to celebrate and all.

Yeah, so we haven't been ten points ahead at any point. I looked at the table after 19 games, pretty sure that we were top and city third, but there wasn't ten points between us. When we played at their place we were 7 points ahead and they had a game in hand if I remember right, interesting to see now that the BBC narrative has become 'ten games ago Liverpool were ten points ahead'

Yep we went 10 ahead when we beat Arsenal but they won at Southampton the next day to make it 7 points on level games. Then beat us in the next game so we were only as many as 7 clear for one or two games (think when we won on Boxing Day and they lost.

Strip the titles they've bought, kick them as down as the clubs in the system allow them in, be it conference or whatever.

And as someone said earlier, they owe some serious dough in damages for the teams the cheated out of CL places.

Sorry but reading the words "twitter" and the words from a City fan being confident about nothing will happen, means your post loses credibility for me. Has he provided a reference to the ACTUAL UEFA documents to back up his argument? You know like this:-

https://www.uefa.com/MultimediaFiles/Download/Tech/uefaorg/General/02/56/20/15/2562015_DOWNLOAD.pdf

He needs to be quoting this section and explaining his interpretation of it:-

3. Sponsorship and commercial revenues
a) Revenue in respect of sponsorship rights which are fixed considerations must be recognised on a proportionate basis over the period covered by the sponsorship rights contract.
b) Revenue in respect of sponsorship rights which are variable considerations dependent on certain conditions being satisfied by the club (such as competition performance bonuses) must be recognised at the point in time when the performance obligations are satisfied.
c) Any non-cash consideration as part of a sponsorship contract must be measured at fair value.
Not saying he's an expert mate or even that he's right. Just that most City fans, who probably follow the ins and outs of their clubs dealings closer than we do, feel very confident that nothing will come of it. From what i've seen they have good reason to feel confident, either way it's not as open and shut as people are making it out. Everybody knows they've broken the rules but between UEFA fucking up previous investigations, their fear of what the City lawyers can throw at them and how difficult it will be to not only prove City's guilt but punish them in a way deemed legal, which will survive appeal, I don't have a lot of confidence in much coming of this.

The rest of my post was just my opinion.

They’re confident for the same reason I’m confident, and that’s that they’ve literally already avoided serious sanctions before by giving UEFA money.
