Saw it depart Everett yesterday, absolute stunning bird. A real shame that they won't make them anymore and in 15-20 years most of them will have disappeared from the skies. My first ever flight was on a Singapore Airlines 747-400 from Manchester, it's still my most memorable flight and Singapore remain one of my favourite airlines.

Yes, me too. The Vulcan gets a lot of love but the Victor is from the future. Amazing looking plane.

Love these.
The Army Air Corps were borrowing our hanger to work on one when i was in Afghan, and they let me sit inside for a picture.

Wow that looks more battered and worn than I'd expect it to.  The helicopter is looking shabby too 😁

Would love to have been a passenger back in the day when people got dressed up to travel. None of this 'active wear' clobber most people think is more than sufficient to travel from one side of the world to the other.

Oh dear. A Spitfire has crashed from the Battle of Britain memorial flight at RAF Coningsby. The pilot was killed sadly, RIP.

I see these wonderful aircraft quite often as I live near the airport where they first flew. It's always a massive highlight of any day. These brave pilots make a lot of people happy. What a terrible tragedy.

Nah. I bet that's an Ai image and it looks nothing like that.

Woke up to this this morning, awful news. RIP

My eldest spent a week at Conningsby 12 months ago, visited the BBMF hangar and chatted to the staff working there, hit him hard today.

Very sad news. Totally agree with the bit highlighted.

I grew up near what used to be RAF Biggin Hill. Every year the Red Arrows would blast past us but the highlight was always the Battle of Britain memorial flight, which would fly low over our house on the way to the Biggin Hill airshow. We'd literally stopped what we were doing as soon as we heard them. Glorious sight and sound.
