So bad in the first half of games so often

Well done Gakpo, was great until the team decided to stop passing to him, Elliott great shot, Kelleher 2 great saves. Less said about the rest, the better.

We're playing a side who man mark to a fault and we cant create good openings. Its insane. Their centre back followed Gakpo to our box ffs

Got progressively worse as the half went on. Endo, Kostas, and Joe are all over the place defensively. Not sure what our front 3 are doing either.

Kosta needs to come off straight away for Robertson…

Elliott is the only player to cover himself in any kind of glory…

Fucking shocking half…

You play like that for the next 3 half’s then you might as well just end the season as the momentum is gone…

That's got to be up there with our worst first half performances of the season, and there's plenty of competition.

I'm sure we'll step it up in the second half (we'll need to), but that was abject from top to bottom and I'm not sure a single players comes out with credit. Everything is so slow and insipid and we've done nothing but boot the ball long (and often out of play). Dread to think what % of passes we completed.

Hate to say it, but it looks like poor attitude. Get some subs on and turn this round, and do NOT concede again.

Lack of clinical finishing upfront exposing issues that were always there for me, including midfield imbalance. I think a fit Jones does a lot in that sense but he will need time.

He doesn't have enough pace to be a forward in a front three, but his quality has still brought us the closest we've come to scoring.

Bollocks to that. We're clearly a better team with better players & we could be as much as 3-1 down at home in Europe.

Time to figure out what's happening in the final third, lads, and sharpish.

And before people start blaming Kelleher, he's the only reason we're not 3 down.

Horrible half that. Not a single player gets from that with any positive mentions. Need to change up the midfield, get Tsimikas off as well.

Unfortunately looks like we are in a bit of a slump going into the end of the season, timing could not be worse. Can only hope that some of the players returning can ignite a fire (looking at Jota and Trent especially).

Gakpo has been much much better than in the previous games but there was an opening where he could have played Nunez (?) 1 on 1 vs keeper but he the footwork. Small margins and it's not even a CL. But we'll still beat these.

Really struggling in midfield tonight and wasteful with the chances we had early on. If not for Kelleher it could have been 2 or 3, we really need Bradley back on as it it looks like Gomez is getting exploited on that side.

After they scored was easily our worst 15 minutes of the season.

Tsimikas is a good lad and has largely been a good servant, but that should be the last we've seen of him as a Liverpool player. Absolutely shocking.

He's not the only one though to be fair. Darwin wasteful as ever. Gakpo miscueing chances to play players in. Endo uncharacteristically sloppy. It's a shitshow from top to bottom.

I understand misplacing a pass when you're being pressed to fuck but when you do it under next to no pressure it's just pathetic.

That one where Gakpo could've put Elliot clean through but just turned back for a sideways pass, infuriating.

Yeah this is the frustrating part - hard to tell watching on TV (wish they'd zoom the camera out a bit) but seems like we have played with really dumb game intelligence not to cause them more problems

To echo many statements on here, been mostly poor.

Gone is the patient and razor sharp focus, in with the casual and sloppy passing and awareness.

Not been the same team since the FA cup game, it's knocked us a bit, as I feared it might.

Could win this 5-1 still, but so far it's grim.

That system they are playing is unsustainable. It will get exposed eventually. We definitely need a bit of pace up top though as Gakpo and Elliott are well slow.
