Away from the corruption.

Joe Gomez is killing us on the left, continually losing it through bad positioning, over carrying it or bad passing. Mo Salah is maybe the greatest Liverpool player my 38 years have seen but by God he’s frustrating.

Now, I’m pissed off cause I’ll have to miss most of the second half going to my in-laws for dinner. Fuck Easter and Fuck David Coote.

Just WIN!

Brighton are among the best teams I've seen play out the back against us.  Two years ago at Anfield they were up the pitch in a blur in the 2-2 draw.  Were all over us last year too.

Big shouts to Bradley and Quansah for adapting well.  Adingra was a nightmare early, but Bradley's recovered very well.

Mac Allister best player on the pitch by far.  Ridiculous vision and passing.  Outrageous.  Shame Salah doesn't have his shooting boots so far.  Need him to be better with the final ball/shot.

Ref is a c*nt. If a player falls over, it's not automatically a foul, nevermind a booking.
Salah needs to get his head in the game. Gets in good positions but end result has been very off so far.
Right side is a worry.

David Coote being David Coote.

Truly atrocious Referee.

Salah so wasteful and selfish today. Bradley is brilliant.

Not worried. Actually quite disappointed with De Zerbi’s tactics to be honest. Playing deep yet trying to play out from the back, quite suicidal, only thing preventing a disaster for Brighton is Salah’s wastefulness.

Honestly if he set us up like that at City I would be quite livid right now.
What a weird take. They’ve been impressive in transition and played decent football. At least he has a philosophy.

Our set up is a bit mental … Bradley is sooooo high with no cover of any kind
It’s working with the ball as we’re constantly overloading down that side but we’re so open behind him
Need Konate to play this way

With the ball can our lads not see Darwin? …. Maybe pass him the ball in the box … too easy???

Our set up is fine. On another day we score 6 in that half. It's our finishing that is bad.

That is the worst refereeing performance in a half I have ever seen. The Mac Allister yellow. The delayed decisions, the soft free kicks. This guy is going to lose control of this game.

He already has, it's absolutely pathetic. So fucking frustrating to watch.

Coote is guessing every decision.

Coote has got Tierney in his ear telling him what to do. It is the only explanation for Coote making decisions 10 seconds after the event. He gave Brighton a dangerous free kick on the edge of our box when he had his back to play.

The club needs to grow a pair and demand the audio from the game.

The main concern is the lack of ruthlessness at the moment. There is also too much rush and tumble going on, not sure if this is coming from the crowd being nervous and its spreading to the players. But everyone needs to calm the fuck down and just play their normal game. It will come in the end. Did the Brighton player get a yellow card for almost rearranging Gomez's face? Coot is an utter arse.

It almost looks deliberate, like they’re ignoring him 😁

So many times simple pass would have put him in.

The problem with these refs is that they deny the pen for a blatant shirt pull then give their player a free kick a few minutes later for a much lighter pull back, so they don’t make it easy to not think they have an issue with Liverpool.

Coote shouldn't be officiating anywhere, let alone in a game featuring title contenders. Indecisive, easily swayed and looks like he's been on the ale last night. Fucking useless.

Anyway, I think a tweak on the right side is needed, because they're clearly targeting it. Jarell has been ok but looks really uncomfortable and seems hesitant to release the ball forwards, I'd stick Ibou on for the second half. Also I'd give Harvey or Grav a run out because Dom is not at the races today, he's been sloppy as hell at times. Alexis, oh yes, more of that please, and it's handy that Endo hasn't been carded yet so he can do most of the dirty work in midfield.

There to be won for sure, but we need to sharpen up a few things.

They are a very good team playing very very good football despite having many players out. We need to be patient on the ball because it's hard to press these.

Their style matches well against us which is why I wanted us to avoid them in the Europa League.

Mo hasn't had his best game which matters a lot because we've been leaning on him. Mac Allister has been outstanding.

yet got steam rolled by a number of teams this season. we really should be putting the likes of these to the sword at home. They are an awkward team to play against but we always seems to struggle against them for whatever reason.

Coote is frustrating but Diaz is even worse with his attempts. Just barges into everybody and then it is difficult not to give a call. Frustrating game and as usual this season we need so many attempts to score one goal. Feel like Brighton will score something again and we want to win we could use a lead bigger than 1.

Brighton I feel got easily done by many teams this season. I don't know why we constantly play on our rival's level instead of just putting them to sword.

Need to keep plugging away. We will get more chances but we simply have to make better decisions than what we’ve been doing.

Salah has been very poor so far. Really needs to up his game in the second half.

I would also get Konate on. Who cares about saving him. We need him right now.

Why is it weird? They have their successes but they’ve given away the football in midfield quite a lot in transition. Veltman for them has been terrible.

And they’ve only had one shot attempt I think.

Final ball just hasn’t been accurate enough on too many occasions and when it has, we’ve not tested the keeper.

We've not, had some cracking chances though, so I'm optimistic.

Should apply an NLP-model to these half time threads and just pin "Ref is a c*nt" (I agree on this btw) on OP and filter the rest so that you can read what people actually think about the game  ;D

Thought we are looking very good, just need to be less wasteful, yes Mo I'm looking at you. Brighton is without the likes of Mitoma and March, and it shows. Should really keep on grinding on that right wing as Adingra and Estupinan really looks half-arsed defensively. Always a threat on the counter though, Welbeck looks well up for it. Think we'll win this 3-1.
Really thought Martin Kelly would make it.

Would be really interesting to read what people would be saying if Trent was playing right back today. That side has been a bit of turnstile during that half.

It’s the centre back, he’s not strong enough 1v1. Are we resting konate for the next international break?
