Should be an interesting night I don't know if this is true but was reading the TV played canned cheers after israel performed in the semi to cover up the booing but that could be just a social media rumour.

Not sure how this will play out. In the grand scheme of things, it's Eurovision but I'm a little surprised they didn't nip this in the bud given Israel's actions, they should've known this was what was going to happen.

Just watching skynews and they are talking about some of the bands like Bambie Thug  may withdraw from the show because they didn't take part in the flag ceremony.

Just watching skynews and they are talking about some of the bands like Bambie Thug  may withdraw from the show because they didn't take part in the flag ceremony.

Upset by some comments made on Israeli television apparently.

The comments seemed fairly mild - has Bambie ever listened to Graham Norton taking the piss out of all the acts every year? Just focus on performing.

Fair play to Belgian TV earlier in the week...

'Belgian TV channel interrupts Eurovision to address Israel’s genocide:

“This is a union action. We condemn the human rights violations committed by Israel. Additionally, Israel is destroying press freedom. That is why we are pausing the broadcast for a moment.”'

I wonder if they and other countries will do similar tonight.

Classic Grauniad: Parties Aren’t Happening is hardly headline of the year! And as for the quote in the article, “ And it’s a shame that it’s always the queer venues and the queer artists that take the brunt of these decisions” - is that really so?

How is life in Israel these days, RedGuy? I take it you're still living there - so you won't be able to vote for Eden Golan tonight?.

And no, nobody was expecting peace to come at Eurovision.

I could see Israel potentially doing well on the public vote but that is only half of the votes, they won't do much on the judge panels.

Covering up booing isn't a new thing apparently, they did it with Russia in the past.

Yep. He made a threatening gesture towards an EBU camera woman because he didn't want to be filmed, yet still everyone is blaming Israel for it despite it having absolutely nothing to do with them. The guy seems like a proper c*nt anyway, he released a song about how much he loved Russia shortly after they invaded Ukraine.

Looks like they are guaranteed votes from the likes of Laurence Fox, Andrew Neil and most of the far right  ::)

I am so thankful that this didn't happen last year. I didn't go to Eurovision but everyone who did had a great time and it's such a shame that the harmonious atmosphere that was generated in Liverpool won't be replicated in Malmo. The Swedes must be rueing the day that they won it.

It's got to be a tough one for the anti-Woke grifters of the world, will they get more kudos & cash from their followers for performatively boycotting the whole competition, or publicly filming themselves voting for Israel?

Can't do both.

We need some maths from Tepid the teacher of how we can impact the vote.

48,000 RAWK members, deduct the absentees, factor in the additions from RAWK family members, deduct those in the pub, add those with a VPN who have multiple votes, deduct Al coz he'll vote for himself, add anyone from Andy's pub quiz poll, deduct Nick's neighbours, add Jim's neighbours in Tallin.

Extrapolate that Tepid.

Tune!

Probably the best of the night in truth.
