That was an awful defending from Robbo and VVD

Bit of good, bit of bad. We need to make more of the chances we make. Pity the Jones goal was offside, lovely move.

Sloppy from the defence on their goal. Multiple occasions to shut it down but what a finish from Bowen to be fair to him.

Haven't made my mind up about Mac, there's something just not clicking there yet. Onwards to the second half!

Horrible goal to concede.

Szobo going to win this for us.

Getting into some promising positions at least.

Them or us? If it wasn't for Ali and some wayward headers we'd be chasing this game.

fucking knew an equalizer coming when we were dominating without extending the lead. just the pessimist in me

forgot how a functioning midfield looks like and the rebuild is looking good so far. how good is szobo? and both him and curtis changed sides around the 20-30 minute mark.

bowen goal was opportunistic and we paid the price.

can see that hammers are a well drilled side and credit to moyes for setting up the team how he knows best.

Jones has been great. Unlucky with the offside. Gomez looking good too. The commentator is annoying though with his AlliSON and Mateep

It was 4 vs 3 on that West Ham goal and we conspired to concede. Van Dijk needed to be much tighter to Bowen and Antonio picks the ball up right where you’d expect a 6 to be.

Otherwise thought we’ve played well and generally controlled proceedings, albeit without penetrating enough. We should win.

Mac Allister is a bit slow for the role we need him to play and we’re giving up chances we too easily. Not sure we have a solution unless we risk Wataru?

Need to be more intense, this is a decent West Ham team.

And VVD so much on his heels for the Bowen goal it was unbelievable.

He wasn't on his heels. He had to rush to get back in and then couldn't change direction quick enough when it was pulled back. Nothing he could do at that point.

They looked dangerous early on, and I think the game has generally conformed more closely to how Moyes wanted it that Jurgen, even though we had plenty of the ball after the first quarter of an hour, and our forwards became more dangerous as the half went on.

Virgil flat-footed for the goal, just doesn't react quickly enough. Similar through the whole move really, our sharpness just wavered and they pounced.

More good than bad from us in that half. Think we will outscore them in the second half and get the three points.  We have more levels we can go up than they do.

Don't feel we're playing too badly, although we look vulnerable at the back. West Ham playing a very physical game and the conditions probably suit them. They're having a lot of joy down the left hand side though, they're always trying to switch it out there.

On the whole we’re we the better team, but we need to create a bit more and hopefully finish another couple off in the second half.

Front three look dangerous but need to get them in the game more

van dijk needs to get it together. he is the only let down so far this season. if he was half as good as he can be we would be winning every match comfortably. not near aggressive enough.

Mac Allister just doesn't have the physical gifts to play as a lone 6 in the PL, it doesn't suit him at all.
Agreed, would rather see Jones at the 6.

That was hugely entertaining. Two good teams going at it. Shame we conceded because weve been excellent. Still look pretty likely.

Very frustrating given the laziness of the goal conceded and us not making our dominance count.

Lots of positives to take, despite the negatives though and only half time. We should have by far enough to win this.

MacAllister….I’m not sold yet.

Christ that Jones goal would’ve been something else, what a shame.

I’m not taking anything away from the header. But VVD is on his heels and can’t move his body fast enough to get to the ball first.

He was by far the favourite to get there first.

Dodgy start, but we grew into it well. First time we've conceded this season where I've felt we're on top.

We've got the quality to bag more. Up the Reds. Let's twat these cockney twats.

3-1.

These slow starts are a real concern - should have been at least 1 down before Salah's penalty. Nunez does excellently for the goal and looks a real threat. Salah is purring, Diaz needs to sharpen up a bit. I think we will win but would like to see a more from the midfield and utilise Gomez's bomming runs more. Think we will win this 2-1

Dominated the ball but fairly even on the chances. They won't tire much so hopefully as the game progresses we can up the pace and start creating a bit more frequently.

It does feel like we still have to work so hard to create goals while opposition teams have to do so little to get at us. I'm not sure there's really a solution to that in the squad or that we have any interest in changing it.

Is that goal bad defending or great play by forward most would have in our side? I mean he comes way inside dragging Robo, lays it off and finds an incredible Finish. I was more annoyed with the first two chances. The first one we fall a sleep thinking we won the ball and Gomez loses Antonio on the second.

On the whole I thought we have been well. Would have been nice if Salah would have finished that one. Odds are we find more then they do in the second half, but we need to stop giving them so many set pieces. Odds are that is where they would get a second.

Feel we are to erratic when attacking at times, and many almost chances that we can use better.

At times not sure what we are doing defensively, look all over the place sometimes. But then we have patches where we dominate everything. Not a fan of Mac at the 6, just because he can play there in a crisis doesnt mean he should in all games. Less giveaways this game from him, and a wonderful tackle on Bowen, but you get the feeling he can do more for the team higher up.

We need a better second half if we want 3 points. And we need to be better in front of goal, as well as defensively more focused.

Come on Liverpool!!!! YNWA!
