They are fitter?

I suppose the point is that they don't have to be. They've come with the mentality that a draw is a good result. We need a win.

Very frustrating given the laziness of the goal conceded and us not making our dominance count.

Lots of positives to take, despite the negatives though and only half time. We should have by far enough to win this.

MacAllister….I’m not sold yet.

Christ that Jones goal would’ve been something else, what a shame.
Mac Allister is great, he just isn't a number 6.

These slow starts are a real concern - should have been at least 1 down before Salah's penalty. Nunez does excellently for the goal and looks a real threat. Salah is purring, Diaz needs to sharpen up a bit. I think we will win but would like to see a more from the midfield and utilise Gomez's bomming runs more. Think we will win this 2-1

The Antonio header was a yard offside, and the Soucek header was after a WWE throw on Szoboszlai.

West Ham have a good reservoir of confidence that's come from a good start to the season.  We need to more vigilant than we were for their goal.

Good game so far. We just need a bit more in the midfield.

Is that goal bad defending or great play by forward most would have in our side? I mean he comes way inside dragging Robo, lays it off and finds an incredible Finish. I was more annoied with the first two chances. The first one we fall a sleep thinking we won the ball and Gomez loses Antonio on the second.

On the whole I thought we have been well. Would have been nice if Salah would have finished that one. Odds are we find more then they do in the second half, but we need to stop giving them so many set pieces. Odds are that is where they would get a second.

For the Antonio chance, Gomez is holding a line to play Antonio offside, but then Robertson drops deep which causes him a massive problem.
And if the rain stops, and everything's dry.. she would cry, just so I could drink tears from her eyes.

Agreed, would rather see Jones at the 6.
Jones at 6 and Mac at 8 makes more sense. Idk why Klopp doesn't see it.

Worried now that Moyeseh will shut up shop and we’ll get done on the counter.

There was one moment there when Antonio was up against 5 and came out with a guilt edged chance. Simply not aggressive enough at the back and positionally out of place a lot.

Not a fan of Gomez trying to play the Trent role at all.

But as a team, I think we've shown enough.

Mac Allister is great, he just isn't a number 6.

He can do a lot more on the ball but feels like he’s playing it very safe at the moment too.

Running in one direction and then needing to go in the other direction is not being caught on your heels.

Should never have got to that point anyway. How is Bowen getting a free header at the limit of offside, no-one marking him, Antonio completely free in the middle  none of our players close to them & Bowen sneaking in for that header. So sloppy at multiple positions. But an unbelievable header to score.

Same shit different game. Robbo is a massive liability at the back. His urge to press and leave huge gaps is suicidal

Probably looked more composed at the back when VVD was suspended.

Szoboszlai in the first half: completed 47 of his 48 passes (98%), including three key passes.  Gained possession on six occasions, more than anyone else on the pitch. #LFC

Brilliant signing, keep going lad..

Come on Reds, match is definitely there for the taking, we need to sort our defending out that’s for sure.

Don't think so.
They came with the mindset to win... so they will turn the screw in the last few minutes to try and win it. As it stands, they are still in this, but I'm sure we're going to be a different animal in a few seconds.

We could be more aggressive in defence at times, but I agree playing football the way we do we will always give opportunties.

I though mac was pretty good. He saved a goal with that tackle in the box and kept it a clean shoulder as well. Made a number of other tackles also. I remember he did lose the ball poorly one time at the top of the hammers box so i guess people see what they expect to or something.

West Ham have only got 1 goal.

What? I was just saying I think the defending on their goal was not terrible. It was worse for the chances they had and should have scored from early on. Not every goal is due to terrible defending.
