No ones getting near City, let's face it. Their defence costs about 500 million alone. Haaland, Alvarez, KDB, Foden, Grealish. Probably spend another 100 mil in January.

Have to see Newcastle as a top 4 rival for now so hope they lose.
My thoughts exactly.

They dont allow teams to have the ball for more than 10 seconds or they are all over them
Forcing them to punt it anywhere. If you can pass through the pressing you have a chance

Doesn't England have five teams in next season (I'm not sure)?

Eddie Howe’s the first manager to take notes, apparently.

He does have a great pen...and a pad, it's probably a Field Notes pad, not your normal 5 for £2 shite from Poundland.  I bet his pen is a Parker or something.  He is wearing a top that's two sizes too small though, the tory prick.

Should Sky just ignore the alphabet to appease Liverpool fans ?  It's two games.

Yeah, I've no doubts about us getting Top 4, we'll outscore Spurs and Utd. Villa and Brighton are never finishing Top 4. As for Newcastle and Chelsea, one of them will but not both. Arsenal and City are certainties.

Worst we do this season is finish 4th.

Think we'll finish 2nd or 3rd.

City could hit the 100 point mark, yawn.

Beat Newcastle and we've an early big lead over them, and they'd still have to come to Anfield, plus two bastard aways  chalked off already.

Gordons tackling on Ruben Dias worse than the one that gave Mac Ally a straight red card.

Any other team I'd say have the absolute worst set of Oct/Nov/early-Dec set of fixtures you could dream of. If they come out of that top of the league, they're nailed on.

Mac gets sent off whilst Gordon gets nothing for similar challenges. We need to kick up about it and ask why things are not consistent.

Yea with Walker that wide better be getting something from them. Walker basically a 0 down the right. Grealish provides down the left.
Those spaces that Alvarez and Foden are in is where Liverpool want Szobozlai, Elliott, Jones, Mac Allister a lot of the time with Salah and Diaz a little wider. Gakpo can play in those spaces too getting the stuff farther back will help that

You basically have to discount 1st place from now on even before a ball is kicked. It's already been decided.

Botman, Guimaraes, Tonali and Isak are all good players … champions league level. All other Newcastle players are just bang average. They had season of their lives last season but did benefit from us and Chelsea been basket cases, conte going off rails etc.

Think they’ll be thoroughly average this season.

It’s the second game if the season and they’re 1-0 up with 15 minutes to play. If you’re so certain, draw out your savings and put them all on City; they’re favourites obviously, but to give up in August? Truly pathetic.
