There seems to be scant little mention of the £25m agent’s fee for the Caicedo deal that Manuel Sierra received. £10m up front and £15m in fees across the course of Caicedo’s contract.

There’s a piece in the Insider that says Man Utd enquired earlier in the summer regarding Caicedo and binned off their interest when they realised they’d essentially have to pay a massive fee and huge agent’s fee on top.

Their model started out as being "pay for quality writing" but they obviously abandoned that long ago when they noticed that the reality is that few actually want to do that.

Chelsea's big spending finally forcing them to make some savings.

They've scrapped subsidised travel to away games. Estimates are that's saved 250k a year, or 0.2% of Caicedo's transfer fee.

Just an absolute cluster fuck of spending money recklessly.

They signed some up and coming highly touted French DM prospect and then loan him out to another French team then spend 60 million on Lavia a week later. 

Signed a Brazilian last week and a another GK, and this Palmer signing is baffling.

Officially 1 billion spent now and how many players from that outlay i'd say only Enzo and Caicedo look fantastic purchases, the rest are just meh or potential of a toss of a coin.

It's sums up why the authorities are insane in allowing this to happen in the first place. How on earth could anyone in football hope to understand the actual paper work involved in all of this? Football is getting to the stage where it will have to hire outside people just to understand if a club is legal or not.

Cole Palmer has made what like 30 appearances in total for city? He’s 21 years of age and they’ve forked out over £40m. This is potentially one of the worst ones so far, funds like 2/3’s of City’s deal for Gvardiol as well

As many have said, they’ve signed GOOD players but it just looks average across the board. I bet they are targeting young ones for the future but they are hardly signing the cream of the crop.

They're exploiting a loophole in ffp as hard as they possibly can.  We see them buying players but they're more like bonds to Chelsea to get money into the club which can be withdrawn in future.
