Bit of a reach that  ;D

What else can I grasp at the moment if not a straw?

Anyone else get the feeling that Klopp announcing his departure really messed with Szobo mentally? It'll obviously have had a different effect on every player, but maybe he was particularly heart-set on playing under Jurgen for the foreseeable future, and that pulled the rug out from under him.

Could be, players often sign because of a manager. I can see why he would be annoyed, but his form has dropped a fair bit.

Don't know the reason but the man started his Liverpool career with a bang. Hit the ground running and looked like we had a rolls royce of a midfielder on our hand. Hopefully just a temp blip.

I'm starting to think his early form was the blip and his current form is the norm.

Yeah he's been playing poorly far longer than he was playing well. Hopefully next season he'll come good but I don't think he should be starting games right now.
Loving Everton's business this summer. Here's an early call - they finish above Liverpool this season.

He is a professional footballer he should not think like that and doubt he does.

He has been horrendous last 3/4 months he can’t start at Fulham surely

As sad as that is, its fair!, I can't even remember the last game he played where you could give him a 6 or more out of 10

Needs to cut out his square passes. Never really gets them right but I still think he wasnt bad. His pace and work rate always provide an option. We just havent used him well at all since he got back from injury.

Nothing is the answer.

He's young and has talent but this isn't good enough. Hopefully he ups it big time next season under the new manager.

He has a lot of developing to do. The raw talent is there. But some of the decision-making that he used to get away with in Germany, simply is not going to work here or in European play. A real disappointing end To his season

To try and find positives (which i know most currently on here don't like to do) He is still the only one in that midfield who is running beyond the attackers, him and Trent do seem to link up well and I thought taking off Dom, Trent and Mo from that right hand side basically cut off any hope of creating anything down that side.

If I was Elliott I'd probably be handing in a transfer request not getting a game in front of him at the mo. Think he's super talented but he playing like an absolute bozo right now.
I don't agree, he'd go to Legoland. Bye.

Looks back to his old self for the first half an hour, and then his energy once again seem to fizzle out. Considering he was winning all the preseason fitness tests and his brilliant start to his Liverpool career, I didn’t see this drop-off coming. Then again, the whole midfield is looking rather meh right now. Hopefully being able to focus on just the Premier League for the rest of the season will minds and energy.

Strange player I find. He's clearly got good vision and awareness at times when you'll find him good at laying people off for shots on goal at the correct moment. Then other times he'll aimlessly pass the ball to the opposition in our own half

I was hoping for more defence splitting ability passes like Coutinho used to be able to do very well when he first joined. I supposed I had conjured this image in my head of a technically proficient attacking midfielder with lovely passing technique spraying passes around the pitch. Don't know where I got that idea from really but he's clearly not lived up that image in my head

Disagree there, apart from one shot he was weak in the first half. Lost the ball a couple of times and passing was poor

He's not been great himself at all. Overall out of the midfield signings in order it's been Mac, Endo, Szobo, Grav.

They both came from a league which resembles a baroque dance rather than the fist fight that is Premier League football. It shows. Give them time, and opponents standing off them and allowing them to play, and they're terrific. But Liverpool don't play like that because their opponents don't let them.

Will they learn? Realistically, they have another 12 months-max to try.

Or the physically demands coming to the Premier league and Klopp can a year plus along with he had an injury too.

Szobo in the first half hour tonight was better than anything Gravenberch has produced for us. Our right side was purring once again. People on here are being massively reactionary tonight. We lost the tie last week.
