Fabinho and Henderson is a horror show waiting to happen. Even more so when they played 3 days ago.

It smacks of a team selection where Jurgen’s just had enough of the same players making the same mistakes. Only one that doesn’t fit the narrative is Salah.

Can’t see us getting anything out of this despite how shit Chelsea have been in recent weeks. It’s a team selection that’s been cobbled together with no real thought behind it.

That’s the best starting 11 Chelsea have picked all season….Where’s Potter you needed him

It’s the same team as weekend bar Kante.

He needs a rest another game this weekend.

Salah could come on if the game is close and Firmino is gassed.
If we are getting stuffed then he’ll be rested.

You don’t rest both your fullbacks against Chelsea away. Rest them for what? Arsenal? If we lose tonight then that game becomes pointless. With a win tonight there’s still something to hang your hat on this season albeit very slim.

Thank fuck Jones is in

He had to with the players missing. Only thing is he won't have the match fitness for 90 minutes of running and Fabinho and Henderson will quickly tire, so you're liable to the usual second half collapse (assuming we turn up first half).

Hopefully we approach the game to be solid and compact so we don't just fold like a pack of cards for once.

I don't think anyone likes that Henderson and Fabinho are starting together again, but who else is there? This is the state of us right now. If you put Elliott or Carvalho in with Jones and Fab or Henderson, we'd be absolutely demolished. It's the pick your poison of having an attack minded midfield that will bleed through the middle, or a mature midfield that's soak up the pressure but is gonna hinder our attack.*

*although after Saturday's display, maybe not  ;D

Just stick TAA there. He’s already stinking it out at right back, what’s the worse that could happen, he stinks it out in midfield like Fabinho and hendo have done week in week out or he might even play better there without worrying about who he’s about to play onside.

Be just our bloody luck that the real Chelsea turn up tonight. If Villa can beat them …….

Their midfield is scary (assuming Kante has his annual stormer). Felix and Havertz will cause us trouble if we don't hold our line properly.

?

You not see the people losing their shit over a line up before the line up had been released? :D

It was a good effort by the phantom team leaker, tho I’d have gone Alisson, Milner, Gomez, Konate, Robertson, Arthur, Henderson, Fabinho, Ox, Firmino, Jota for maximum effect.
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

Don't see the issue with changing the team. Most of them need to be either rested or dropped, and there's nothing riding on this so it's a last chance for some of them to shine.

It’d be nice if a few of them get the message that Klopp is sending them, I don’t hold out much hope of that though. Looks like Klopp is as sick as we are at what we’ve been witnessing.

Saturday/Tuesday is tough for two of your hardest away games. Especially when the fitness levels are so poor this season.

It's whether we can afford to change the full backs with Virgil missing as well and a shit midfield, but Robbo and Trent were miles off it on Saturday so they wouldn't be great tonight.

Chief complaint would be why we agreed to this date for the fixture.
