More than anything, he looks very composed on the ball. Never panics, even when pressed and took that goal like a seasoned pro.

That was quick! On his league debut no less, great work to control and finish.

He played 20 minutes in the 9-0 vs Bournemouth

Really was a brilliant first touch. Would have been so easy to slightly overhit it. Really think he deliberately hit it downwards into the ground a bit to help prevent that too. Just brilliant presence of mind and technique.

Can never have too many smart midfielders/players with nous. Thought our midfield looked distinctively lacking in intelligence/smarts at dealing with the pressure, and being smart with trying to be solid after conceding, prior to his introduction.

Great 15 minute cameo goal aside he snapped into tackles and held the ball well.

The goal was pure class most seasoned pros wouldnt have done what he did they would hit it first time or hold the ball for someone else.

Well done lad.

Really like it when young players take the opportunities well. He did okay against City in the league cup I though, better than you'd expect from an 18 yr old going against a largely full strength City midfield. The villa performance would do him a world of good. For a young player, the first big step is to feel and play like they believe they deserve to be there. There was less nervousness there, maybe because he knew he only had 10 minutes or so. Hopefully he gets more minutes to get used to playing at this level because he'd be an absolute baller for us in the future.

taking his chances eh this kid

when our midfield is decimated with injuries, up he steps.

does anyone actually expect his impact or kind of a bit under the radar youth player that just keeps plugging in the hard work and keep taking the chances til he makes it. Might be just the start of his journey though.

Can we expect him to be good enough to be a first team player in a couple of years or squad player that steps in as and when needed?

Think he'll get some minutes off the bench towards the end of some games in the league. It was only 15 minutes at Villa but we were holding on to a one goal lead until he finished it off. Much more pressure on that than there is against Bournemouth when you're seven goals up like it was on his debut. I think he's very likely bought himself some more minutes after Monday night. If he started at City in the League Cup too I'd definitely expect him to be starting against Wolves next week.

Impossible to predict at this point

He looks further along in his development than Morton did when he made appearances last season imo so really depends how the rest of this season pans out

If he doesnt get a loan next season then youd assume Klopp sees him as a squad player already and he plays a position that we do need depth in

Second half of the season is quite big for his development progress.

Think it's only a matter of time before he gets a start, can't do any worse than Hendo and Harvey in a midfield three
However if something serious happens to them I will eat my own cock.

He didnt look up to pace in the League cup vs City(granted that not an easy task for 18 year old). He should start the FA cup game. Slowly bringing him into the team is a smart play.

Thiago ?

Definitely the best of the three that started but that really isn't saying much when things are that dysfunctional.

You saw from the crowd and Klopp's reaction to the Bajcetic tackle how starved we had been of success in 50/50s in that part of the pitch. The others rarely arrived in time to even compete.

Only midfielder to put in a proper tackle all night

That's some proper Thiago slander right there who was just a beast today. With that said there's no way Bajcetic shouldn't be getting a lot more minutes. He was a bit overrun against ManC but that's nothing to be ashamed about. Aside from that I don't think he's really put a foot wrong, strong in the tackle, can keep the ball moving and is mobile for a big lad.

really hope we can manage his minutes as he is still so young

but with our midfield being in such disorganized state, is it the right thing to do as in throw him into the deep end.

really hope at least keita will be fit enough to play some part and balance the kids workload along with thiago.

oh and hopefully curtis too. been a while since he has been fit for concurrent matches.
