Training ground can only do so much. We need to get that Napoli beating off our chests as soon as possible and the more it lingers on the more it will affect the players. We need real opposition and a home game is just right. We'll batter Wolves 2-1.

Why will it be sad? I think we’ve all grown up with her being a cornerstone of the country. Out of all of them I think she’s been the least problematic herself and it also symbolises the end of the country as we know it imo.

If I were to hazard a guess, there's a month of official mourning with flags at half-staff; perhaps a week were most public events are cancelled, and a day off for the funeral.

Yep I'm a staunch republican however never felt personal ill will towards Liz. She's been trapped by the farce that is the monarchy, she's been in a cage, albeit a very very gilded one. I'd hate to have been born a royal.

I just don't get it I'm afraid. I have zero affinity to a family (which includes her) of privilege of wealth assigned at birth. They don't represent me or the majority of the people who live in this area and I think they appear more and more antiquated when you see the absolute state of the country and the good causes their wealth could be used towards. The most I could possibly muster is an apathetic shoulder shrug and that's pushing it.

Granted, it's many years ago, but I remember reading Charles had said he would take the name George as King (it's one of his  many middle names).

Perhaps he wasn't expecting mummy to last this long, so perhaps he's had a change of mind. On the flip side though, historically "King Charles" hasn't fared well in this country.

Maybe Charles fears that people will think he was named after a bread of spaniel.

There are ten days of mourning with the only two days off work likely to be the funeral and subsequent coronation.  If she died today, the weekend's schedule would likely be cancelled, if she died Saturday I imagine it goes ahead because of logistics, next weekends games would go ahead I would of thought.

The BBC take all Comedy programs off air for ten days, which could be a good thing, oh and our fragile economy could potentially lose billions as the stock exchange shuts for at least one day.
