Yeah, you have to keep that rule. I've based my last two picks on making sure I have some kind of route back, I'd have been deep into the 2000s otherwise.

I'm of the firm opinion that for the #11 pick the prerequisite of playing with #1 should be expanded to the national team for that pick alone. Otherwise many people are going to be fucked over completely if someone else picks the wrong player and there's no more a pathway to get a club team mate of their #1 player anymore.

#11 has to have played with #10 at a club level, but if he was international team mates with #1 it's all good.

With three picks to go before that round I think it makes sense to do this now before the final round becomes a farce

Nah. I’m fairly sure I could probably have picked a more popular DM than Dino Baggio but I think I needed him to get me on track to complete the job in line with the original brief.

Agreed. There’s better players many of us could have picked if we weren’t plotting a route back to our original choice; expanding out the last pick to assist those who’s planning has been poor or very unlucky is unfair on those who’ve executed the brief properly. And that’s coming from me as someone who has only a couple of players whom if they go, I’m fucked.

Maybe a handicap for those who don’t adhere to that rule? -2 votes or something.
