Nando's is awful. Bland, dry chicken and mediocre chips. It's fashionable because of London-centric social media. Same as the various identikit American fast-food places that are popping up with some godawful Reach PLC puff piece about "Barnsley to host the first Shithouse Fried Waffles store to open outside London!"

Nando's was amazing when it first turned up in the UK.  But over the years they've cut loads of corners, the chicken is awful now compared to what it used to be and the portions have been reduced, with the costs all going up.

Ive had it once in Manchestehr, and yeah really dry.

Another vote for Burger King. McDs are hit and miss on the crispiness and either unsalted or so salty you can't eat them. Since KFC changed to the skin-on fries they've got a bit better, but like everything KFC it depends on the individual store, some of them are just awful.

This is true.  I remember going to the one in Fulham in the mid 90s when there weren't too may of them around and the chicken was fall-off-the-bone tender and juicy.  Now it's just hard and dry. A real shame!

I make it - it's beyond easy. There's always more than enough (I'll do one chicken breast each, plus a couple of boneless thighs - the breasts and thighs flavoured slightly differently)

We go the whole hog with tenderstem broccoli, spicy rice, corn cobs, skin-on fries (frozen from Aldi & oven cooked in a little oil), halloumi.
