30693 cases today, deaths and hospitalisations up but, as you say, hopefully the lag should help.
Numbers admitted to hospital actually lag behind numbers in hospital - admissions reported today are as of the 2nd, but there are "in hopsital" numbers for up to the 5th.
Going by the second measure, it looks as though things are already starting to level off a bit.
In England, numbers went from 6099 on 19/10 to 7019 by 28/10. After that they rose a little then fell back, and as of 05/11, they're at 7072.
Scotland and Wales are relatively flat across the last week as well.
Northern Ireland is too, but they're the only one where the data seems to be revised later on, so I'm less confident in their numbers.
