Just watched the highlights. Can't stand how they disallow goals with the shoulder as offside. How often do players score with their shoulder? When was the last time LFC scored a goal with their shoulder?

Most players would probably rather shoulder goals be illegal than make shoulders a part of the offside decision. It's ludicrous.

I think for VAR a simple change to the offside decision would be to ask if the part of the body that scores is offside when the ball is played.

Currently it is any part that you can score with and generally that's okay, even if it is a shoulder. But when it comes down to millimeters, just look at the body part that they score or control the ball with. Much fairer imo.

Its getting almost impossible for english teams to perform well in both midweek (champions league) and weekend (domestic league). Add to that... by having an early kickoff just compounds the issue.

So it is indeed a job well done when we got those 3 points against watford. I guess our game plan for this month is to just do enough to win games and i agree with this.

On another note.....its so good to see leicester dropping points at home to norwich today. I expect them to drop loads more and slide down the table this month as Rodgers is an average head coach.

Im loving the fact we can pick up wins at the weekend while playng average after giving everything in the cl in midweek. Most title winning sides have been able to do it and now we seem to  making it a habit.

I was busy so could only get the text commentary on Sly Sports App. It felt like a strange one. Watford sounded dangerous, and when I had to turn off with ten minutes to go it sounded like an equaliser was on the cards. I was so happy to see we actually doubled the lead. Watching the highlights I was a bit concerned how easy Watford got through us at times, and they did fluff a few great chances, but Salah's goals were both lovely.

Despite the way it looked on my commentary, it seems we had 68% possession, twice as many shots (16) as them and three times as many shots (6) as them on target. All in all, it seems like a good win after a hard game midweek against a very good side. Clearly not at our best today, but a clean sheet, three points and top of the table by ten points.  :)

I don’t get the ‘lucky’ narrative from this game at all. We were commanding for the most part against a team that dug in for a draw. We got a bit nervy after the disallowed goal but really, we had far more chances to win it that Watford and we’re the better team.

I think Solanke scored his first 'goal' for us with his shoulder when a clearance hit him from a yard and bounced in.  It was duly disallowed for handball...

Gomez did particularly well in difficult conditions with that swirling wind. Some exceptional interceptions along with some strong, forceful challenges. Didn’t back out on any 50/50s too which is pleasing to see when you see them commit.

He’s gonna be some player when he matures. We’ve put together a truly magnificent squad and I for one am loving it.
