Very promising. Can't believe he's 16... didn't look that out of place despite a few errors and that.  I thought he looked better when he switched wings. He's a real talent.

Other than that he was very good. His attitude in every game is impressive & not just going forward.

He missed an open goal against Napoli in the Youth League 3 yards.

But yeah only 16 so it should improve as gains composure etc.

Fairly unhelpful comparison but I did a lot of sprinting when I was younger and my 100m PB came down 1.5 seconds from 16-18. I was a bit of a late developer though. He’ll definitely get faster, certainly over short distances as he develops...could be a scary prospect as he’s certainly not slow at the moment!

Lovely on the ball at times last night - very confident in tight spaces.  I was surprised at his pace at times, quite slow without the ball, if he ever came on as a sub to replace Salah for example it would be a big change of system moving away from the pace led widemen we currently have.

The players trust him, which is mind blowing considering his age, think he will get some minutes from the bench as the season goes on - will be interesting to see what the club do next summer relating to Lallana/Shaqiri - I'd like to see Brewster & Harvey get the minutes

A shame that he hasn't got the pace to go with his obvious skill. Nowadays pace is so important especially for wingers. He really will need to be something special to overcome that.

He's not slow, but he's not FAST. That is subject to change based  on how much pace he adds from now until he's done growing. Didn't he play in central midfield yesterday though with Ox playing on the right hand channel? Seemed like it in the first half to me.

When facing eight man blocks of defenders, you need technique and speed of thought. He clearly has both.

Long term, I think he will be a midfielder in the Silva-KDB variety. Rather than playing in the forward line. His game IQ, for his age, is ridiculous.

Exactly. I think the David / Bernardo Silva comparison might be quite good. But wherever he ends up playing is still something we can’t say for sure. But it feels ver likely that he will make at here no matter what position.

It's not really an outrageous take to say that a forward player in the modern game needs to have an incredible level of overall talent if they lack top-line pace. Have a look at forwards at top clubs, have a look at the ones who aren't speedsters, there aren't many, are there? A few that spring to mind for me...
Messi, Suarez, Ronaldo, Firmino (who is definitely quick), Muller... obviously there are a lot more than that, but 2 on this list had incredible pace as well as everything else. Ronaldo probably wouldn't have made it without that pace. Firmino and Suarez are phenomenal all-rounders with unbelievable pressing and stamina, while Muller (was) also an incredible all-rounder with an impressive physique, too. It's the same deal for others like Lewandowski, perhaps Aguero now. It's even more the case if a player lacks height.

That said, Elliot looks seriously strong - his physique reminds me a bit of Rooney, actually - and it's clear that he does have an absolute wealth of talent. He's obviously got an incredible ceiling but, yeah, I think it's fair to say that he will need to develop to the fullest of his potential in order to use those talents in our front 3.
Long term, I think he will be a midfielder in the Silva-KDB variety. Rather than playing in the forward line. His game IQ, for his age, is ridiculous.
I think that's a decent shout, too.

He's made a perfect decision coming here. You can see his pathway laid out in front of him, he'll probably take Shaq's place in the squad when Shaq moves on, he's then 17-18-19, in the matchday squad every week looking at pressuring a front three who'll be in their 30's.
