Their roles within the side are completely different.
Yes I realise that. But Willey is one of the only bowlers in the world who gets a bit of swing out of the white ball. Think him opening the bowling with Woakes, with Archer coming on first change was the way to go.

He doesn't get people out though. Plunk does in his role.

It's definitely a much harder pitch than the comms have given it credit for and I think the difference has probably been you missing Steyn and us having Archer - ie someone with serious wheels.

While the pitch might be a bit harder to bat on, the shot selection from some of the batsmen really can be questioned.

We do miss Steyn though.

Great performance from England. Did enough with the bat to put it out of reach then bowled and fielded brilliantly.

The reaction from some people on social media when they didn't score 350 and SA were slightly on top has been embarrassing though. This team is outstanding and are favourites for a reason, every single one of them that plays. You dont change what has been a winning formula for 4 years just as the tournament is starting.

Never seen such a weak batting line up for the Proteas to be honest. Huge pressure on that top 5 to go big cos the rest won't to often!

Haven't been watching it[don't have SKY] but sounds like a good performance especially in the field.

Isn't this the first time England have beaten one of the top ranked sides, in the World Cup since 92?
