There’s a slight chink of hope for us. The City fans just started chanting “championes, championes, ole ole ole.”

The footballing gods have tended to frown upon such things when it’s only a 1 point lead with 3 games left.

But they are the champions, what they were singing is factually correct.

City are doped up to fuck. No doubt in my mind. They've cheated on every possible level; from sponsorship to youth transfers to PEDs. And I couldn't give a fuck, it is what it is.

All I read on here beforehand was how bad United are, now everyone seems surprised that they lost. I didn’t bother watching but I assume they were as turgid as usual this season.

Coming second in this title race feels nowhere near as bad as 2014, or even the Champions League final last year. We’ve had our greatest league season ever, and been pipped by a financially doped superpower. No bad luck, no cruel twists of fate. City will swat away whoever they play next, as they should be doing with the money they’ve spent.

Couldn’t have more pride in this Liverpool team for even keeping pace with them. Nobody else in this league has that’s for sure.

De Gea was the difference between our result at Old Trafford and City's. He was absolutely abysmal.

Whoever grabs that 4th spot can count themselves fortunate.
3rd to 6th have played six games in the past five days, and got one point.

I wouldn't expect Leicester to get anything. City will run out 2-0 winners in that one. Burnley is the one they may slip up in if City start think they've already won it. Just a shame the dingles are already safe. Dyche would love to get one over Pep though.

Burnley have played Man City twice this season. Both at the Emptyhad. Once in the league and once in the league cup. They got beat 5-0 both times.

Barring some complete fluke, the league is. There’s no way this City team drops points so close to the finish line against teams that are already on holiday.

I have faith in us to win our games, I just don’t have any in the teams City face.

All the teams City have left to play are capable of springing a draw, particularly when the pressure is on City.

Always amused by Keane - he always looks on the brink of kicking off.

Remember when Nani got sent off in Europe, he was the only one saying it was a red.

He's torn Neville apart tonight.

Shit and all as mancs are, I thought City were lucky tonight. They created fuck all really and got two goals. United missed an open goal from by far the best chance of the game.

It's possible of course that City could have upped a gear if they had to but the bare bones of this match, like the one on Saturday with Spurs doesn't indicate a side blowing the opposition away. I'm still hopeful that if we can win our games we have a squeak.

Fred played 90 minutes  :o.  We used to joke that Lucas was the only Brazilian on the planet that couldn't pass a ball but Fred is something else.

Man City had so much more desire.  When they lost the ball they flooded back.  A real contrast to Pogba ambling back and therefore allowing Bernardo Silva to cut inside and get a shot off for the first goal.

Man Utd bringing on £900k/week in salary in the shape of a muscle-bound lump in Lukaku (who then played right-wing...), an over-the-hill Sanchez and an idle Martial did cheer me up a bit.  Those three are on more per week than the entire Newcastle 23-man first-team squad.
