Magnificent effort by all the lads. It was always going to be difficult but they gave everything they had and we had no depth left to change the game.

I feel for Loris, but he'll be back stronger than ever. He also made some great saves.

Losing Mo was the key and their diamond really stifled our midfield after that.

I thought we lacked legs going through the second half again, we couldn't get near enough to Real. Really unlucky to lose Salah, and I don't think Lallana was anywhere near match fit.

Terrible goals to give away, but I thought Real were going to win the way the second half was going. We were only creating anything at all from corners.

I thought the midfielders didn't use the ball well enough, were not incisive.

I'd also have gone for it and brought Can and Solanke on when it was 2-1 with 20 minutes to go.
