I've seen a few suggestions that they face a re-build similar to LFC.

But under FSG we persevered with a model, often to our short term detriment, of targeting cheap and young potential, all with decent re-sale potential. That, in hindsight, has made Klopp's job a bit easier. Utd have went for the opposite end of that spectrum- older, more expensive, established players with no re-sale potential at all.

i wish they would keep some of these older soon to be washed up players like Valencia, Mata, Sanchez etc.
