Intrigued by this pre queue. How would it work? You'd have to queue to get in it no?
Isn't that the standard excuse the ticket office bods put out to justify not doing it? It's complete nonsense of course. Other high-volume ticketing websites that do it don't have a problem.
The key point is that people today were joining the pre-queue for an hour between 9am and 10am, so all of the log-ins are spread out over that period, so the demand on the gateway servers doing the login verification is actually low and can be managed, before you are handed over to the servers managing the actual pre-queue.
