Frustrating half. Can, Mane & Wijnaldum need to raise their performance level.

Think we're the better team but we're obviously not fluent in how we're playing going forward and we're struggling to create anything but the odd scraps from pressuring the Leeds defence in possession and catching them out that way. Actually think catching them on the counter may be how we get the first goal here.

Some players need to stop trying to selfishly impress and remember you impress thro a team game.

I'm enjoying it. Few young lads in there... Ejaria in particular going from shaky to sublime and back again. But you can see he's a real talent. Divock isn't getting the kind of service our forwards have been used to this season. But he's been ok. He was very obviously dragged back when he rounded that leeds player and was almost through on goal. Leeds haven't been overawed and are up for it. Not a bad game.

Ejaria was a joy to watch

Still don't get why we're not playing all kids/reserves

Looking forward to Woodburn winning it

I assume because we have won one trophy in a decade and want to win something this season.

A bit frantic and not a lot of quality.

We need to keep moving the ball around and eventually openings will happen.

Mane, Can and Origi need to do a bit more.

Second best on and off the pitch..... Leeds the better side and deserve to be in the lead..... either buck our ideas up... move the ball quicker or we're going out as they will grow even more confident!!!

That was a bit shite really to be honest with you. Can tryin to force things and Gini and Origi not doing anywhere near enough. The away support putting the rest of the ground to shame as well.

Poor game, no quality, we're awful in the final 3rd. Ejaria and Arnold have been very good, compare that to Moreno, he gets worse every time i see him, awful player. Kevin Stewart too, i can see why he didn't cut it at Spurs... Alexander-Arnold though, what a superstar right back he's going to be!

Not for me, Morenos been fine. Great ball with outside of left after he'd cut in.

Moreno has been decent and has provided good support down the left.

Not surprised it's a bit disjointed given all the changes but need to move the ball quicker and the chances will come.
Has Steven Gerrard scored a goal even more important than the one he got against Olympiakos - Is this the start of something BIG?

Leeds haven't been the better side by any definition, it just seems that way watching because their fans are doing their bit. In reality they've looked dangerous on the break once or twice and they're getting stuck in but the game has mostly been played in their half, we've just lacked the quality to break them down.
I've just wiped the sticky residue from my bellend onto the television screen. Taste it Leo. You deserve it.
I would honestly let Wijnaldum jizz in my face right now

I am in the lower centenary stand - have a headache from the Leeds fans! We have been very quiet from the stands tonight - is it the weather?!

If we are not careful they could easily steal a goal in the 2nd half.

Well that was total garbage.

The level of Mane and Wijnaldum has really dropped in recent games, and Can has been pretty poor and all. The midfield just isn't affecting the game at all and the forwards aren't really helping.

Ejaria has been a class apart. Really excited about him.

I assume because we have won one trophy in a decade and want to win something this season.

Has sweet fuck all to do with it - doesn't even make it more likely we'll win the tie. Our first teamers look like players who are chasing a league title playing in a match that isn't in the league

Well, that wasn't fantastic, but the average age of the side is about 9, so allowances and all that.

Leeds fans very loud, Divock a bit subdued, and I imagine there's a dressing room in Liverpool with a German manager breaking furniture so we'll probably win.

Few nice touches from ejaria is all that's stood out for me. There's really not enough creativity coming from midfield, I'd bring grujic on.

I think it's been quite a good game without it being a good game. I can't quite work that one out either, but seems to sum it up for me. Leeds have been noisy and pretty decent... we've worked well, and you can see some good ideas, but it often dies out. Just need some joined up writing for a period.
