Meh. I'm just picking personal favourites. Gadget was fun, but Ulysses 31 was another level.

Love the Defenders of the Earth pick. Very underrated show! It could make a great movie as well.
Nah. Better intro, that's about it

Not even slightly true. Gadget was fun and we all enjoyed it, but Ulysses 31 was amazingly ambitious for a children's show. Basing a cartoon on Homer's Odyssey sounds bonkers, but it worked perfectly and unlike a lot of those cartoons it had an actual story arc that led to a proper ending. Gadget was really cool and perhaps more fun to watch as a kid, but it never developed further than a simple idea. And I do love that show, hence almost picking it, but I don't think anyone would argue that it wasn't trying to be anything particularly original or daring.

Horses for courses and all that though. I don't care about picking what other perceive as the best shows or the most popular. If anyone is trying to win a cartoon draft then they're a bit mad really!

Strange Talespin lasted this long.... I remember watching it back to back with Ducktales.... Used to be huge along with Ducktales here in India in those days...

Talespin had a great intro as well. Makes me smile whenever I hear it  :)  There just so many great cartoons to pick.

With that in mind, how would people feel about there perhaps being another round or two? This will very likely be the only ever draft we do like this, so we might as well get as much enjoyment and make it last as long as possible!

Count Duckula! About time. Such a great intro. Almost picked it in round 1. Klippity definitely has my favourite mix of shows right now  :)

What a great show Round the Twist was! I loved the way they kept on replacing cast members each series and it somehow still worked!

Great theme tune too...

Great theme tune too...

I often catch myself singing it on random occasions, haha.  'Have you ever, ever felt like this, when strange things happen are going round the twist...."

Now would probably be quite appropriate actually  :D

I've updated the picks list in the selection thread, though my computer melts down due to youtube overload whenever I go in there  :D  So I'll post it here as well -

Lastrador - Ducktales, Knights of the Zodiac, Beakman's World
El Lobo - Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Bucky O'Hare, Johnny Bravo,
Rysoph76 - Batfink, Defenders of the Earth, ALF,
Samie - Transformers, Doug, Captain Planet,
red mongoose - Battle of the Planets, The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show, Saved by the Bell,
Tubby - Thundercats, Inspector Gadget, Samurai Jack,
JSteve - Sonic the Hedgehog, Teletubbies, The Powerpuff Girls,
Lawnmowerman - He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, Once Upon a Time, Around the World with Willy Fog,
Betty - Ulysses 31, M.A.S.K., Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors,
Chakan - X-Men, Bravestarr, Danger Mouse,
Titi Camara - The Mysterious Cities of Gold, Visionaries, Grange Hill,
Hazell - Fraggle Rock, Maid Marian and her merry men, The Real Ghostbusters,
Wool - Batman: The Animated Series, Dexter's Lab, Hey Arnold,
Nessy76 - Dogtanian, Dungeons & Dragons, Round the Twist, The Magic Rounabout,
4 - Recess, SpongeBob Squarepants, The Smurfs, Pinky and the Brain,
Vishwa Atwa - Voltron: Defender of the universe, The Adventures of Tintin, Talespin, Spider-Man: The Animated Series,
Klippity Klopp - The Raccoons, Gummi Bears, Count Duckula, Fun House,
Crimson Tank - GI Joe, Legends of the Hidden Temple, Animaniacs, Jonny Quest,
Sheer Magnetism - Rugrats, Justice League: Unlimited, The Charlie Brown & Snoopy Show, The Moomins,

Also, note the additional reiterated rule on the human acted/wildcard pick -

For the wildcard, if it was shown after 6pm then it probably wasn't a proper kid's show - i.e. Doctor Who, Fresh Prince, Wonder Years - and is therefore ineligible.

I have found the Wildcard quite tricky.

But Fun House was a show I always watched and really wanted to go on it.

Plus I liked the Twins.

Sorry about that all, had work, family over, and the previous nights lack of sleep was compounded by copious amounts of wine.

Thanks Chakan for making my picks.

And Jonny Quest was a great show, monsters, machines, jet packs, judo, and friends who could kill you as well as charm a rope.

Just updated the list above. Looks like Wool is still a pick behind. I've PMed him.

Some great shows picked this morning. The Moomins was fucking mental. I don't know if I actually loved it or not, but it was definitely memorable! Fun House... who didn't want to be on that show, in spite of Pat Sharp's mullet  :D
