Looks unreal.

Dynamic weather seems a simple addition but it makes maps playable in so many different ways. Destruction looks better than ever, the blimp crash is astounding and again changes up a game.

The only game coming out that I'm looking forward to other than the ff7 remake.  But that clip looks unbelievable

I wish I liked Battlefield games (as opposed to COD).  They nearly always look gorgeous, but there something about them that leaves me cold.  I don't know if it's the movement, the pace of the game or the fact that there seems to be too much going on (the screen HUD is covered in alerts/minimap etc. - I'd have no idea what I'd be doing!).  I think I'll stick to the relative simplicity of COD, but am envious of those who can enjoy this game, especially one set in WW1.

The design looks too much like the star wars game. Its weird, it's set in the early 1900's but looks futuristic. Its the colour pallete and everything, it's not right.

It`s an alternate history game?

I had been having horrible PB crashes with all the Battlefield games , but found a solution that suggested doing a "Clean Boot" of my PC and stopping various processes in order to see which one was conflicting with PB/Battlefield. I did this and stopped all the non-Microsoft services, before adding the ones I wanted back on again, one at a time.

Make sure you re-add PB first  ;)

I discovered that I actually had 3 adware/malware programs running and those were what were causing the "Driver/Program" Error Crash.

Anyway, this seems to have worked and my PC (surprise, surprise) is running much faster now. I think I must have put too much trust in my anti-virus program.

I hope it doesn't reappear with BF1

Any specific examples? I could maybe see a correlation with the desert maps but they've nailed the design and feel of it for me.

This is all shot using in game footage and the new cinematic tools, nothing altered.

Nothing specific, I mean it's so shiny and clean haha. I know that's not supposed to sound like a negative. Maybe it's because a lot of what I've seen is cinematic footage, I did see some gameplay from a while a go and it did seem like old Battlefield.

I just mean when you see the plane, and riding on the horses, it's all very cinematically shot, real life doesn't look so shiny and clean and stupid as that sounds.

I've just rewatched it and it's more that desert footage but the more I watch it the more I'm coming round to it. Its only a couple of instances where the sun hits or the sand scatters perfectly. Its because the image is so clean which is credit to DICE, I just never imagined the Lawrence of Arabia stuff either. You know I expected drab and dreary, like what we've been served in the past.

Been playing quite a bit of BF3/BF4 lately and I am terrible.

I have to say that I prefer the hardcore servers without mini-map and so much HUD spotting, it gives me more license to sneak about  ;)

I was wondering why I was so bad at this when I`m pretty good at other shooters, I wondered if a lot of it is to do with the fact that I came late to the franchise and most of the other players had all the bells and and whistles in terms of unlocks? That got me thinking about potential unlocks for a WW1 style game. What could they be? Will the game work round this by being an alternate history WW1 with a more steampunk ethos? I mean are those tanks going to have IRNV etc. Personally I hope not.

Yeah I know what you mean to a degree, it's down to the upgraded photogrammetry technology they started using in Battlefront and now Battlefield 1. Digital Foundry goes into detail here:

Speaking of Battlefront, DICE has made use of one of its key techniques here in Battlefield 1 - photogrammetry. This technique makes use of actual photos for measurements, modelling and texturing in order to produce remarkably realistic results. With Battlefront, many users were familiar with the props and materials created for the Star Wars films but Battlefield 1 focuses more on realism. This means scanning in objects and materials that represent real world objects. Once we have the game in-hand, it should be interesting to examine the level of detail here more closely.

AMD 7770. Seems to recommend at least the AMD 290 {2 series anyway}. I got a directX error and the suggestion that I needed at least 2gb vRAM.

BF3 and BF4 play great. I assume that BF1 is an upgraded Frostbite from the others.

So need to cough up to play. The game looks great though, nice to run tanks without having to worry about thermals etc. There were also 5 slots in the one I drove, I was chewing up the infantry and the poor horses.

I would also suggest adding at least 16gb RAM.
