Hmm.
I find it strange that Klopp is not starting Origi but will start a clearly unfit Sturridge. And if Origi who has scored a couple of times in preseason is not in rhythm, then are we supposed to believe Sturridge coming back from a injury was "in rhythm".
Also that he needed to say that about Origi, he might have spent a few words on players trying to get into double-digits on pot-shots.
Maybe it's because he thinks Sturridge is more important than Origi? Or perhaps Origi's qualities are not necessarily the ones that could be useful against a deep depending team such as Burnley? Origi came on, and was totally ineffectual. Would he have been more effective with more time on the pitch? Hard to say, but we will never know now. But Sturridge, of the two, has always been more effective playing against deep defending sides. So there's definitely a case for him to start at Burnley.
Sturridge's gotta play sometime in order to get match fitness. Might as well have been Burnley. That we lost to them is besdies the point, as before the match, everyone would have looked at Burnley and said that it was probably the easiest of the five fixtures we have at the start of this season. Origi looked like he needed some match time too, his timing was totally off, turning straight into defenders, poor first touch, etc.
