last year it was 14th July - I know season starts earlier but the fixtures were announced pretty much the same time last season so it seems Sky & BT need a month to pick there games.

hopefully fan groups have put enough pressure on them to thrash this quicker.

And hopefully the date you heard "today" comes true.

it's been advertised as the 3rd July on other clubs websites so if they don't stick to it they are certainly pissing fans off.

Apparently Sky have said it will be today.
Rafa Benitez: "I'll always keep in my heart the good times I've had here, the strong and loyal support of the fans in the tough times and the love from Liverpool. I have no words to thank you enough for all these years and I am very proud to say that I was your manager. Thank you so much once more and always remember: You'll never walk alone."

United v Spurs is the first game of the season, 12:45 on BT Sport.

Sky are expected to pick us, Arsenal, City and Chelsea over the first weekend (including Monday night).

I think sky will choose the Bournemouth game instead of ours.

Arsenal away and Bournemouth at home on Monday nights, really helpful for the fans those.  ::)

Man Utd at 5.30pm is an odd one, the police will object surely?

Consent from them would've been sorted out prior to this announcement I would've thought....

First home game of the season on a Monday night is a bit shit.

The Bournemouth fans will be well pleased! Honestly it's just so ridiculously thought out half the time.

It's almost like a "welcome to the Premier League" message.

They have us at home to Norwich at 4pm and they have Soton at home to the mancs at the same time

I don't think the Norwich game is actually on tv, as it doesn't have a channel beside it ie Sky or BT. They've just noted it as being moved to the Sunday because we're in the Europa League on the Thursday.

But will they show both games live as we are defo in Europa so ours cant change

Soton have to play a qualifier so will they move it back to Sat?

No logic to having two games same time

And the club have confirmed that

Yeah, a lot of the time the EL weekends are just 3pm Sunday and not on TV.

That's the crucial bit - it probably isn't! They don't think about fans who travel, or care, it's just "we want that one!"  >:(

Also the October/November changes will be announced by the end of July.

What difference does it make what time it is? Ours isn't going to be on TV, the Southampton one is.

Shitter for the Norwich fans if it's later I suppose.
