I can see why people would think this is a knee jerk.
But he's been on the cusp all season. Strange decisions with selections and poor tactics. He had a formula which was at least providing decent performances and some good results. He's abandoned that to go back to a few of his favourites who aren't really good enough for this league. One of the main gripes was that Ben Hamer was doing pretty well in goal but he was binned off for Schwarzer, who Pearson was mates with at Boro an age ago. Konchesky, Morgan and Wasilewski have all been pretty dreadful this season but he's stuck with it. Yesterday against Palace was madness. Palace had two huge CBs and two very tall FBs and the sum total of the tactics was to keep lifting balls in.
They've also spent £10 million on Kramaric, who can't get a game as a striker (which I'm sure has had something to do with this) and that's not even taking into account the other shite he gets into, like telling fans to fuck off and die, strangling an opponent player and refusing to talk to the radio cos they don't blow smoke up his arse.
