Not huge on Okafor but I like the look of Mudiay, Towns, Hezonja & Porzingis. Say you get #1, who do you think the Sixers draft?

Would love to see the Raps trade up and grab Hezonja or something.
I could see them trading down if possible. I would prefer one of the guards and they look like they will be there around picks 3-6. We need a point guard and a scorer at SG/SF. It's not like I would disappointed with drafting one of the big men, but I rather have Hinkie use his magic and acquire all 30 2nd-round picks. I could see the team taking Hezonja if we get the Lakers pick. A Croatian duo of Šarić and Hezonja would be entertaining.

Yeah for Hinkie's sake you need to get picks 3 or 4 so you can take a guard rather than another big guy. I wouldn't turn my nose up at D'Angelo Russell either. By all reports any of the top 4 prospects could be star players. Russell in particular looks like the next elite 2 guard.

Anyway, I think T-Wolves get the no1 pick and therefore in the space of about a year will have set their team up for the next 10+ years.

Lakers going to get Okafor. Actually think that's a good spot for him as a backwards coach like Scott will get him plenty of post touches.

I think so too.

Interested to see which guard the Sixers opt for.

Lakers on the way to being back to where we belong...I hope Towns does something silly, not too serious but silly enough for Minny back away from him because of it.

Well that was underwhelming. All of our traded picks were protected and 3 isn't really a great spot to trade down.  We have the first option on the two guards if we go that route.  At least the Knicks got fucked.  :D

Yeah he might sabotage himself to get to LA. If he doesn't want to be in Minny I'd have no problems taking Okafor though. People question his D but go have a look at Bogut's question-marks out of College and even his first couple of seasons in the NBA. He's massive and long. With any level of coaching it's difficult to be his size and not have some degree of presence in the paint.

Delly's D is good but he needs to just even half penetrate off the picks to try and make something happen. Lebron isos and JR miracles are what just got them offense for the last 4 minutes.

Delly's D has been so good the fact that he's been a near dumpster-fire on offense hasn't stopped him being +13 in his 16min. Lebron and JR going crazy on offense helps too.  :P

JR clearly just breaking plays at the end of that quarter too.

Well he did blow the play at the end to win the game. :D

No but seriously why didn't they call a time out when the double team came?

I wasn't surprised how bad Hawks have been playing recently. Well, I said Cavs in 5, so maybe yes I'm surprised they will be swept.

They were suspect for the whole play-off's to begin with. God knows if Nets had one solid wingman, they could have eliminated Hawks.
Wall doesn't play or plays unhealthy, yet Hawks still lose to them 2 games.3 of their 4 wins against the Wizards was only by 5,3 and 1 point.

Of course they had players who weren't playing 100% but that applied to every other team in the East. I think they missed Louis Williams much more than I expected them to. Then again, you don't lose in a blow out fashion at home against Cavs when 2 of their 3 best players don't play. That's not what you expect from a 60+ win team.

Yeah I like Bud, and I think he will give it a great shot to get them to Spurs level, but they are still a long way off matching their style. They so badly miss the penetration from the guards that Spurs get from Parker and Manu. It's such a vital aspect as it's what forces the rotations and help defense that allows the Spurs to then beautifully zip the ball around for an open shot. Teague is not nearly comfortable enough trying to be Parker, nor anywhere good enough at a Parker impersonation. And Korver, although a great shooter, isn't forcing a double, ever. And their ability to both set and use picks is also very poor compared to the Spurs. Duncan is 7'0 and Splitter 6'11, and they both know how to really set a pick and how to move after the pick. The Hawks have 6'8 and 6'10 guys in Millsap and Horford setting them and that size alone makes it not the same thing, not to mention they just aren't that good at setting them. But also Teague and Schroder haven't looked like they know who to run their guy into the pick well either.

Also Korver's defense really stops him from being an effective member of their Spurs impersonation. He'd never play for the Spurs. He can't defend a 3 so they have to play Carrol with him all the time. Green for the Spurs is not just a very good 3 point shooter but a very good defender.

I believe in Bud. If I was running a team I'd back him all the way. But he needs to find guys who can do better impersonations of Spurs legends.
