Does anyone know what the crowd sang in the 42th minute? My bro insists that it was "Sell Pienaar, Pienaar" to the tune of "Steve Gerrard, Gerrard", but I'm not so sure... Anyone know what I mean?

Great first half btw, I think Sturridge has a decent scoring record for us.

Well that was fun.

Great team performance all round – everyone working hard for each other and the defence are very solid considering how depleted we are of our 1st choice players.

Coutinho is having a great game and finding spaces all over the pitch to show his passing range.

Suarez is such a clever player – he has drawn 2 or 3 fouls in our own third to take the pressure off us and win possession back.

Sturridge has been everywhere – absolutely outstanding first half from him. He looks so calm and composed and when he receives the ball, time seems to stand still as he weighs up his options. Brilliant, brilliant player.

Same again 2nd half please.

Sturridge is just ice-cool in those situations. And his touch is a thing of beauty.

They're getting a lot of the ball, but we look very dangerous on the counter. I'd settle for us keeping the ball more, for my heart's sake!
